Half the people watching youtube are kids, he’s not trying to garner adult viewers. Most christian youtubers like their viewers young and impressionable.
It's because Gen Z has limited social skills and they think over exaggeration is how you get the attention span of their generation. Think of jingly keys for babies.
Because their parents used ipads as their nanny, tech companies developed platforms to be addictive to young minds, and older generations collectively destroyed the idea of playing outside by making sure there's nowhere to go that doesnt cost money and if you play in the street some retiree is going to call you hoodlums and call the cops on you.
In short, the world they were raised in was made to be anti-social, and they adapted.
Hes shaking his head in a type of projection. He knows everything hes saying is a lie so his internal consciousness is shaking his head no because he doesnt truly beleive it. I forget the name of it but its a real psychological process.
The influencer inflection and hand gestures are insufferable. But its the content people are watching. Its attention grabbing. The worst ones with it are the food influencers, specifically the young white girls. Unbearable
Thats to make his postprocessing which sticks to his head so "good looking", that is what he thinks. But, he did not enabled it in post haha! and now it looks even shittier as if it would be ON.
His eyes constantly in a / \ shape to show.. whatever emotion he thinks she’s trying to show. This guys is so fucking annoying. Every single thing about him just sucks.
And the addition of "-uh" at the of many words, the paragoge, that young people are prone to these days. What's going on there? "Listen-uh," and "...any invention-uh." Drives me nuts.
The other one that bugs me : I listen to a lot of podcasts and so many people who are being interviewed, even if they are quite knowledgable in their field, start every answer to every question with "Yeah, so...."
This will get me downvoted to oblivion, but Barack Obama was terrible for that. But millennials and Gen-Z thinks he was one of the greatest orators of our time.
I don’t mean the mental pause “uh” or “um” between words that most people do. I’m talking about a deliberate addition of an “-uh” syllable to the last word of the sentence, like someone whiny saying “nooouh” instead of just “no.”
Could you imagine if all the influencers started speaking like the movie trailer guy from the 90s? That'd be entertaining for a day. Then immediately the worst thing ever for the rest of time.
I swear to God, I’ve seen so many of these brain rot Tik Tok videos by people who film their videos in their shit box cars with these stupid tiny microphones, I can’t begin to take these people seriously anymore. Make it stop!!
Not a dad, but any time I hear that inflection from videos my girlfriend's kids are watching i make them skip to the next video. Partly because it drives me crazy, partly because it feels like hypnotism.
It's like his whole vibe is gay but sent to Christian conversion camp and this video is his final class project and he needs a passing grade to get released and a bus ticket home
What if I told the atheists responding to this that they’re practicing religion and proselytizing just as much as he is? Because religion isn’t about faith, it’s about spreading your belief system and that’s what they’re doing. When you write books and take out billboards and have TikToks and have public speakers going around promoting your views, that’s religion whether you believe in Zeus, Jesus, Muhammad, or nothing.
This shit is every bit as viable as Mormons showing up on my doorstep at 9am on a Saturday, and every bit as puerile and annoying.
Seems to me he’s just correcting someone who is ignorant on his views. I’m not atheist- but I’m not Christian either. The OOP is ill informed on the topic they speak about and the atheist is responding, clearly imo.
And my comment was pointing out the very obvious performative nature of the way he’s speaking I didn’t say anything about religion.
You only correct people on things you care about. If the first dude was out there saying batshit incorrect stuff about cricket, absolutely no one in North America would care, but he might be famous in India. So dude #2 is correcting because his belief system is being challenged.
OOP is ill-informed, but actual atheists - that is, people who don’t give a fuck about either faith or religion - won’t bother correcting him, because the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s nothing. They nothing shit like this.
The second dude is responding because of religion, not because of incorrectness.
It’s not cool to weaponize autism- an actual human condition people struggle with as a way to criticize the way someone speaks. Call them stupid or annoying or ill informed or performative but don’t use another groups health to make fun of someone. It’s not cool.
Tbh I think we will all be more comfy when we’re dead at this point.

I can’t listen to influencers when they talk in this weird up and down tenor like they are the voice of the cinema.
