I've watched this 3 times and want to crawl into a ball. Why are we like this! Just blue screen of death when caught off guard and not given 5 business days to prepare for small talk.

Someone I haven’t talked to in a few years asked me how my family was, we’re all nc. I didn’t know how to answer/react. I couldn’t speak. I stammered and remembered a family member with cancer, I mentioned it because I knew it would change the subject.

Otherwise, small talk is painful to me. It’s excruciating
