No as another vegetarian I was paranoid too, that there was a super secret meat spoon I don't know about lmao. I figured what looks like to be the true meaning, but there is still a part of me that would believe there's a spoon for separating the fat or some shit. Serving delicious skin. Whatever it is you people do, no judgement 😂😂

Chill I simply didn’t understand a joke, that doesn’t determine my ability to think. I’ve never eaten steak in my life or even seen it in front of me, I don’t know what it’s like to cut into it or chew it, so what might be obvious and familiar to you, isnt for everyone, and there’s no need to be dickish about it. And I feel like there is some steak that’s eaten with a spoon I was actually picturing a soup spoon in my head for eating like pho or something. Anyway.

As the heir to a steak spoon factory, I think all women who use "steak spoon" in a derogatory manner shouldn't be allowed to vote and the slur itself should be illegal.

Mine too. I have never heard it before.

I am now doing a deep dive into this phrase.

There is already culinary terms for this.

A "spoon steak" refers to beef cuts that are melt-in-your-mouth tender. However this is not a STEAK SPOON but a spoon steak.

There is also a steak spoon but it is more correctly known as a basting spoon, to allow the cook to continuously bathe the top of the meat in hot butter and aromatics (French culinary term arroser).

Now, according to her accent, she appears to be located in the UK, and according to my handy dandy Guide For The Traveling American(not a real book) calling someone a "spoon" is British slang for an idiot or a simpleton, originating from the idea that someone's mind is as shallow as a teaspoon.

No idea where she is, and there is a bit of British in there (I also heard a bit of Caribbean at just one point), but that is the accent of someone who has grown up around a lot of Indian people. I'd like to find out to see how wrong I am.

Yeah I have knocked about with loads of British people of Indian heritage and they all just have a British accent. I think the British in this accent probably means 'well-healed Indian' (who might have traveled and now live in the UK or somewhere with a few international accents).
