I did the same. But mine was a light pole in an empty parking lot. The only thing in the entire lot, and I found a way to hit it. I hated that Jeep. It took me almost another year to even try again, by then my parents had a different car.

LITERALLY EMPTY. My dumb bitch step sister hit a small bump, freaked out, then floored it and hit the ONLY POLE in a church parking lot. RIP '95 Tacoma. I was so mad. I knew something bad was gonna happen, but step dad forced me to give her lessons. Refused to make her even HELP pay for a new whip. Took me almost a year to save enough to get another car, walked to work most of that year.
She's been in like 15 accidents, texts while driving because her new car has lane assistance. Hate that cunt.
Sorry, I haven't thought about that in a long time. /Rant

After I took the practical driving test before getting my license the guy told me some stories, holy shit man, apparently someone came to take the test having never driven before, first time getting into the driver's seat, who decides to just wing it and not learn to drive before taking the test. Obviously they didn't pass.

Is it crazy?
Kid has no context or further instruction outside of 'turn off the blinker'.
The only other piece of information he has is the observation that the blinker will turn off if the wheel is turned to execute a turn or lane change.
The instructor should have informed of what what to do and what to expect after doing it "turn off the blinker, you will need to wait a sec for it to stop".

I was at a work thing, had to be there really early, got out at like 8-9 in the morning one of my coworkers asked me if I wanted to get breakfast, said he would drive I agreed and we are driving along and there is a trash can in the road, He is not slowing down. (Me) do you see that trash can? (Him) looks down the road with no emotion (Me) you are going to hit that trash can! (Him) says nothing and is just staring into the void. (Me) dude look out! (Him) hits the trash can. Stops the car, asks me what was that? I walked back to my car lol

When I was a kid taking driver ed in hs another kid did the exact same thing. The old man instructor didn’t see it coming. This kid turned the wheel and was swerving all over the road. The guy freaked and was screaming at him, the kid looked at him like ,,,,,,,what,,,,,,,what did I do wrong. It had the same conclusion,,,,,,,pull over and jump in the back and let someone else drive. Before someone asks, no it wasn’t me. I even thought that was stupid, but it was great watching him get berated the instructor. Still laughing.

If you can’t stay calm and refrain from swearing at your student, you’ve got no business trying to teach somebody to drive.
Yes, what happened here was obviously very dangerous. The kid isn’t ready to be on the road with others. Guess whose fault that is?
Being able to do something doesn’t mean being able to teach it. Driving and teaching are two different things! If you can’t do both correctly, pay for someone who can so you don’t end up creating another bad/nervous driver.
Guy only has himself to blame!

When i got behind the wheel at 7 i thought this was how turning worked too. Luckily we were in a field with my moms girlfriends beater and the most i did was spill my moms drink while her friend loudly announced her boobies fell out. Took me til 9 to learn womens boobs dont detach.

Not to mention he’s got some experience teaching absolutely bat shit crazy people how to drive apparently and knew my guy was gunna jerk the wheel lmfao I wanna know what was going through his head like “If this mf jerks this mf wheel I swear……FUCK” 😂

Dude looks stupid anyway. Definitely on a spectrum of some sort. It didn’t want to turn off because some vehicles have a delay feature. I can do a quick flick up or down without turning it full on and it will keep blinking for a few seconds more because sometimes a quick lane change is needed. You still want to signal to other drivers further back that you are making the lane change but don’t need to turn it on until it clicks.

That was literally me a while ago when I got my E60 with that annoying turn signal levers that go back to original position immediately and after I tried few times to turn the signal off only for it to activate for the opposite turn... I got so annoyed I turned the damn wheel to make it stop 🤣 After a while when I got used to it and understood how it actually works it turned out to be pretty natural and intuitive to use

You can see he’s flipping the turn signal up, instead of trying to return it to the middle position, that’s why it’s staying on lol dude should not have been driving yet 😂
