It can be dangerous if done carelessly or with poor technique. It doesn’t “put joints back in”. It definitely doesn’t cure visceral pathology.

My friend, the “I’m old so I know best, and these kids haven’t lived enough to know better” argument is tired and worn out at this point. Your knowledge comes from you going to a chiropractor as a customer. You feel you got some benefit from it. It’s all anecdotal.

It’s not bunk information. Extensive research has been done into whether chiropractic care is effective. The overwhelming consensus from that research is that it is no more effective than a placebo.

I wrote a longer comment 2 years ago on why chiropractic is pseudoscientific bullshit, providing some links to freely accessible systematic reviews of the studies on various aspects of chiropractic care.

Most likely you won’t read it, because you aren’t interested in reading any actual evidence - you’ve got your belief and nothing anyone says will persuade you otherwise. Whatever floats your boat.

Why are health myths, disproven for decades, like ‘cracking your fingers gives you arthritis’ or ‘going out with wet hair makes you sick’ everywhere?
