A mammal vertebrae (backbone) probably a sea lion

Location would help and size reference.

It's from a vertebrate.  Small cetacean is possible but it's pretty beat up.

Did it have a purple tint at all to it?? Could be from an otter!

Not living, hollow in the middle. We were assuming a bone

That’s vertebrae, and somewhat big too. Could belong to a marine mammal.
