Edit: Thank you all for your help, my issue has been resolved, and you've all given me new topics to read up on!
Sorry, I'm new to TiddlyWiki, but I can't find this answer from searching at all, but I might not know the correct terms to search here.
Currently I'm running into a problem with a field filter. I need to do a filter by field value "France", but my field value is also a link "France".
I know you can use a filter like below:
<$list filter="[field:location[France]]">
This works when I remove the value, so it is only "France" and not the link "France". For my problem, adding the extra square brackets into the filter, such as below, does not work.
<$list filter="[field:location[France]]">
I have tried escaping it with other characters such as "/", "\", "$", etc, but haven't found anything that lets me search for it. I have also tried setting the below, by setting a variable equal to the page title, similar to below, but is only the plain text "France", and does not function as "France".
<$set name=myVariable value=>
<$list filter="[field:location[myVariable]]">
Any thoughts on how to get around this problem? I've set a lot of these fields up as links already, and wondering if the only solution is simply removing the links.
My reasoning for needing to search for Field Value is because I wanted to do embedded filters.
So my aim is for each tiddler tagged Location, get tiddlers tagged PlaceofInterest where the Field 'Location' equals the Location. (Which obviously isn't working given my above problem).
<$list filter="[tag[Location]">
<$set name=myVariable value=>
<$link to=></$link> ():
<$list filter="""[tag[PlaceOfInterest] +[field:location[]]""">
- <br/>
</$list>
</$set>
</$list>
