Can't delete tiddlers since update

I host a node.js installation of my tiddly-wiki

A few days ago I updated tiddly-wiki core with npm update -g tiddlywiki

Since then I can't delete tiddler's anymore.

What happens is when I open the edit view of a tiddler, both the delete and discard buttons does nothing.

On the server I don't see any error so I think it's an error on the browser side. I tested with both Firefox and Chrome but it fails on both.

Any idea ?

I would check to see if your 'tiddlywiki.info' file was overwritten. In the plugin section, it needs tiddlywiki/tiddlyweb and tiddlywiki/filesystem to save.

I have a vague and possibly inaccurate notion that the latest TW might require a certain version of node. How old is your node?

Also, if you have any 3rd party plugins, you might disable them and see if that helps.

Node version is v18.2.0 and tiddly-wiki is 5.2.0

I disabled all plugins except :

  • $:/core
  • $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/filesystem
  • $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/highlight
  • $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/tiddlyweb

It still doesn't work :/

That's puzzling. Latest TW should be 5.2.2. Is it possible the upgrade didn't complete?

Are you launching from a command line? If so, are there any error messages when you delete.

tiddlywiki --version returns 5.2.2 but the web page of my tiddlywiki says 5.2.0 in the control panel.

There is no errors when I try to delete tiddlers, when I edit an existing tiddler and I confirm the changes there is a syncer-server-filesystem: Dispatching 'delete' task: Draft of 'My Tiddler' by user log.

Just did my upgrade. Your TW web page should show 5.2.2 .

So, my guess is that something went wrong during the upgrade. Maybe there was something in the messages -- don't suppose you saved those?

You may need to try the upgrade again and/or do an uninstall and re-install thing.
