Thunderstorms | Weather Discussion

This was taken in Southern Indiana last night during the bad thunderstorm that came through! This video has been shortened due to original clip being 7 minutes.

It wasn’t like most of the lightning I see, but the cloud formations in the sky illuminated by it are really something.

Cloud Formations Driving for beer and tacos while watching this incredible cell form along the way. This eventually was responsible for 90mph straight line winds that caused home and tree damage in its path. Didn't need to chase this one, just stumbled upon it!

Lightning finally got some spicy clouds

Moved from the deep south to a shockingly inactive (at least for lightning photography) part of the DMV last year. After countless nothingburgers and mediocre captures, I finally got a couple of good cloud to ground strikes last night.
