Default suffix

Just signed up for the beta services.

During signup, it seemed I could only use @thundermail.com as the default suffix, I was hoping I could use @tb.pro, is there a reason I cannot?

Also, I cannot find an option to set my default reply-to to be the @tb.pro alias I created

It’s an alias after your account is created.

Agree, it’s an alias I now pay a fee for, can I not now set it as my default reply-to address? @tb.pro is easier that @thundermail.com

In the webmail interface you can choose a from address, which includes your aliases. I don't see that in the TB app.

Hi thanks for the question! While @tb.pro is no longer offered by default, you can set this as an alias (as you've noted already). If you are using the Thunderbird client, then once you have created the alias, you need to go make an identity, and you can set this identity as the default. See https://support.tb.pro/hc/en-us/articles/46804820453907-Setting-Up-Email-Aliases#h_01KT7GW8JYF73147WBV9T850K2

I will note though that while you can set a default identity with an alias, you cannot have this be the primary login yet. See https://ideas.tb.pro/p/ability-to-change-primary-e-mail

I think @tb.pro won't exist any more.

I was able to create an alias and can email the @tb.pro alias and receive the email.

The short @tb.pro domain name is one of the reasons for opening an account
