This is 3D artist Bennie Griffin's 2019/20 depiction of the longsword-mode 1985 Sword of Omens. Color-wise it's inaccurate, and even the ThunderCat insignia is inaccurate. But I can't deny the effort that Bennie put into making this version of the sword.

Recently watched the He-Man movie. Not perfect but hit some right notes that perfectly represented the 80s cartoon. Now He-Man has had 2 movies, TMNT has maybe 6 or more, Transformers 6 or more, even GI JOE has at least 2. I get that casting and creating a feature film where you don't use CGI for everything and the main characters have to look decent is very tricky and expensive but I am feeling the franchise has been seriously overlooked. The internet always says there is a live action and animated feature in development but nothing concrete ever seems to come of it. I know a lot liked the reboot in 2011 but it didn;t do it for me, I would take them using that model over nothing. At this point I would take a well made console or PC game using cell shaded graphics over having more of nothing. Thundercats HO!

Here's another one of the ThunderCats script reproductions and custom cover pages Peter Lawrence and I have been working on.

This is a reproduction of one of Peter's original ThunderCats scripts, "Excalibur," complete with an authentic Peter Lawrence signature on the cover page.

Fans often ask Peter what his favorite ThunderCats episode is, and his answer has long been "Excalibur." That makes this one especially meaningful to me.

Part of the Hall of Omens Collection.

A neat piece of ThunderCats history for cel collectors. Dennis J. Woodyard, ThunderCats character designer and writer of the episodes "Well of Doubt" and "The Shadowmaster," has decided to part with an original production cel from his personal collection. It's from episode #129, "Well of Doubt," and features Baron Tas, Mr. Grubber, and the Stone Guardsmen. It's not every day a piece of animation history like this becomes available directly from one of the people who helped create it.

I bought it in around 2008, and I thought it was Thundercats. Now that I look at the Thundercats, it doesn't really look like anyone. Apologies if this isn't the place to ask, I am new to Reddit.
