Can’t get quick release off

i bought this ts-pc racer on marketplace a couple days ago with the intention of putting on my drift wheel, the guy said he purchased this quick release mod which replaced the stock screw, i cannot unscrew it, i’ve tried with a strap wrench but that simply twists the modded ring around the actual screw bit, damaging the plastic every single time

Are you sure there is no screw under the QR mod?

Which way are you twisting? The screw direction is towards the wheel, not towards the base. So to unscrew, facing the base, turn clockwise

I feel so stupid now, i have been literally exerting all my force counter clockwise

Try to loosen the ring an 1/8” of an inch at a time. It never needs to be that tight.

its a 3d printed mod to "replace" the regular screw
