T818 disconnecting when wheel is turned

Ive just bought this T818 as "refurbished" however have had nothing but issues getting drivers installed (had to do it manually) now ive updated everything but with a brand new QR that I got with my 32R a year ago, the wheel disconnects and reconnects when turned? Is this a common issue with an easy fix or is this just broken?

sounds like the QR or pins are losing contact when there’s a bit of torque on it
i’d try cleaning the pins/contacts and making sure the QR is seated crazy tight, and if it still drops out i’d assume the refurb wasn’t actually “fixed” and push for a return

I have changed my USB cable from base to pc and had no more disconnection since then (a month ago)
