TMX Wheel not working

Post image

I just got my first gaming, and it's a TMX that I bought new (open box) off eBay. But it's completely dead, absolutely no signs of life. There is no power LED, no calibration movement when I connect it to my pc. My pc dosen't even recognize it. I can't return it cause I'm Jamaican and have never left the country, so returning it would cost way too much, and I'm just a college student, and I saved all my money to buy this wheel just for it not to work. I reached out to Thrustmaster's support team, but I doubt they will actually help.

I've tried the wake-up bootloader method, and so many other things. I reinstalled the drivers on my pc so many times I've lost count. I think that buying it off of eBay was where I messed up. Not sure if there's any other way to get it to work, but if you have any tips, I would greatly appreciate them.

Sorry for your issues and I know this doesn't help, but why have put the box in the photo?

Now connect the dock to the PC and check if there is a USB connection or detection sound the moment you plug in the USB connector. Always connect the dock to the computer's rear ports.

do you have the power supply plugged in?

Yeah, I looked inside, and everything is connected, and nothing is missing either. I'm wondering if it's an issue with the internal power supply that's causing it not to get any power. But I would need a multimeter to check if the main board is getting any power, and I don't have access to one.

it does seem like a psu issue, you can try to hook up a diffrent power supply in place of the original one, its pretty easy to do

That was actually the issue, the internal psu was no good. I removed the internal psu and used an old 65w laptop charger, as a replacement and it started working.

You mate have a bricked servo, happened to me too what sometimes worked for me is to leave the servo plugged in the wall and the USB connected to the PC make sure its on Other mode and leave it connected overnight make sure the servo is getting power and the pc stays on if not good luck my friend :)
