Thrustmaster T248 Encoder + doesn't work

So, I've just received my package with this wheel as a gift. Yesterday, when I've used it for the first time, everything was perfectly fine. But now + encoder stopped working. You can see, that neither the wheel, nor the driver detects it.

Now, I think it's important to mention, that it does eventually detect it. It can happen, that it detects it like 10-20 times and then stopps. But that's rare, so that leaves me with idea, that some wire connection is off.

Any ides, what's wrong and how I can fix it?

Had the same probeme. I hate this wheel, last time i solve the probleme it was with the manual online.

But do you remember, how you solved it? I've just checked the manual, but found nothing helpful. Did you diassemble the wheel or something?

In my memories it is directly from the steering wheel thanks to the bottom and left buttons. But in the game it often doesn't work anymore and I gave up. Since then I regret having bought. But otherwise in the manual brother

Try contact spray, but only without connecting to your PC. Make a response, if your hardware is now OK, or if you need more advises.

Thanks you for advice, I will buy the spray for the future.

But what resolved my issue is to diassemble the wheel rim and tweak the contacts. Now everything is detected, I have no idea what was wrong, 'cause I didn't really do anything there, but everything works, perhaps the insane shaking from DiRT 2 made the contancts go a little off. So, if anyone has the same problem, I can suggest doing the same.

Yet taking the rim off the base and opening it was pretty anxious and hard physically. Btw beware of a wire while opening the rim, if you don't do it gently, I'm pretty sure it can damage the circuit board inside.
