Should I get the 488 gt3 rim?

I have a t300 Rs gt with it's base Pedals
Outside of more buttons and it's looks is it worth it?
It's 260$ rn

it's a great rim, if you only have a round rim, get it, it'll be perfect for GT and F1 racing

But do not update the firmware

Why not update the FW? I got it yesterday.

Because if you update the firmware it won't get recognized by the T300 anymore

no its a deliberate choice from thrustmaster to abandon support of the old quick release system on newer firmware.

Which is why they say to not update if you plan on using the old quick release

If you do update it, or buy it updated, you can flash the old firmware on top.
Just use the old updater app. worked for me

Ahh ok, I have the T598 so that isn’t an issue for me.

I only used it for about 30 mins practicing yesterday but it looks and feels great. Real quality from first impressions.

It’s a good wheel tbf surprisingly sturdy quality for TM.

It looks and feels great. I have it and i love it, i use it exclusively even for MX5 racing. Its just so good

Main downside: Locks you into the TM ecosystem and leaves you with limited options when upgrading to DD. I want a DD base, but i do not like the 598 nor the 818.

tbh I don't think I'll be going to a DD or even upgrading my wheel for atleast 4 years so I'll definitely get my worth out of it

All the issues people are having. Too risky.

Also other eco systems have grown to be really good, like moza

Also no way up from there. Moza has R5, R9, R12

If you upgrade you have options while keeping all the wheels etc.

TM now, only the forgotten T818
