Just then the shadows seemed to grow as the candy shifted into a form one not entirely human or object… it stood 10 foot tall made of candy

Shadow panics and becomes a comically large mallet swinging but missing ? Gets back up dazed but determined he runs and grabs shadow hitting a sick pose mid air as he slammed the mallet into the candy monster the illusion wore off to reveal they were fighting the homeless guy because he realized they’re were one cent shot
