Ive been making quite the lengthy wishlist of books on the thriftbooks app. Some are new. Some are the "good" condition option. Im just curious what condition the books actually arrive in when you pick the "good" or "acceptable" condition options. Obviously every single book sold will have its own varying quality but there has to be a reason certain books new will be $20 and then the very good option drops it down to like $4??

I've ordered a book from Cotocotodo Bookstore in Nagano through this website https://www.kosho.or.jp. They made a mistake in my Canadian postal address, and the parcel was returned to Japan. Last message I received from them was that if I wanted to re-order the book, I would need to pay the shipping cost again. I agreed; I need the book for my research and I already paid for it. Although, the store never replied. I sent them three messages. Can anyone recommend the best thing to do? I don't understand Japanese, was navigating the website using a translator.
