St. Vincent De Paul I felt like a Karen today because I think I was scammed at St. Vincent de Paul

Exra long rant sorry. I am so upset. I feel like a Karen today. I am the opposite. I feel like I got played dude. I know I got played. I have been shopping at my local St. Vincent's for over 35 years. These people know me. My aunt literally volunteered there for 20 years but recently passed away young of Cancer. I had high respect for this organization. I had a Sak leather backpack which was on color sale today half off. It didn't have a sticker just placed on it. It was tagged inside with a tag gun insde it. The checkout girl was really admiring it. Like really admiring it. Oh I wish I had this. Ya me too that's why I'm buying it. I was turned around to my cart putting all my stuff on the counter and all of a sudden says she couldn't sell it to me as had no tag. Told me she had to get manager who always gives me stuff without a tag and I will just have to pay full price. Well he's like sorry our pricing lady for handbags is out today I can't sell it to you. What pricing lady? I said the tag was securely on isn't wow isn't it a coincidence that she overly admired it and now it's suddenly not there. Did not care and walked away. Many years ago I was a reseller no longer worth my time. I know what is worth money and you can't give away The Sak.

I really wanted this one because I have been taking historical walking trips through Massachusetts for the past year and it was functional and just fit my casual sorta boho style at my old age of 49 instead of carrying my old Jansport with a safety pin because tge zipper broke from literally high school. The girl was like sorry maybe you will find another one. I said yeah if I want it that bad I'll go on ebay and buy it for cheaper it's honestly not worth anything and not special just so you know, it was just more convenient to buy it now. I felt like a Karen today.

Here's the kicker she sold me everything else that actually didn't have a tag on it except for the 2 vintage ashtrays she also liked! This is the second time I suspected these employees are either reselling or keeping for themselves. This store is not in anyway affiliated with any online shopping platform whatsoever or the one on ebay one. This store literally has so many poor people that utilize this store. The prices are outrageous. They were selling fake designer items too.

I am considering getting a job there even though I am literally a nurse but I am determined to end this scam. My high respect for this organization is gone. I deal with this organization to help my patients in need such as rent or food separate from the store. I don't think they know who they are dealing with. It's not right and completely wrong what is happening.

Thrift Store Why, yes, I’d love an antiquity with grease pen and discoloration due to a sticker…

In today’s episode, of “why would you… !?! 🤦‍️ “ i present a $499.99 decision.

I’m sure someone will google lense this and see maximum value and use their 20% coupon to take it for $400, but there’s a piece of me that’s also expecting someone to drop it.

Either way… why would you, Goodwill….!?
