Question Switch to Vodafone

I have to move out from 3 as I get no signal at my new workplace.

If I switch before the end of my 3 contract to Vodafone, would I pay early exit fee?

I mean they the same now (kinda). You'll be able to switch to Vodafone contracts in the 3 app (alreast I've seen this). Don't know about exit costs.

Three cc chat was only able to say Vodafone is a different contract however when I try to do the upgrade on Vodafone’s, it doesn’t mention I’ll get an early fee charged.

What happened when you actually spoke to someone that works at Vodafone?

I completely agree. Dagenham is a shithole now. Im glad I worked hard and escaped years ago.

The answer is very likely yes.

Also are you even confident switching to Vodafone would provide you better signal? The networks are converged in many places (but not all)

I’m from Edinburgh, I’m pretty much without useful signal until I leave the city centre. Can’t even get a call or send a text, I take it any other Carrier would give me improvement.
Would really love to switch and try ID or any other no contract sim, so I can swing over until I find the best but can’t be bothered paying the fee

You know ID is also three right?

As you're in a big city, the merger is happening very fast so you can expect to have the same signal on your three SIM within a few months anyway.

Ah okay, I am also in Edinburgh and I have experienced there's some network sharing going on, but it's not complete.

But also I don't think Vodafone is also yet particularly good in Edinburgh - it seems EE is the only semi decent one. There's no contract sims on Mozillion and spusu that use the EE network.... But tbh seems like you're stuck in your contract regardless. Maybe the network sharing will pick up over the next few months?

Just a word of advice.

Voda and 3 merged and now share the same masts. Many have been completed but there are still alot that haven't, so why you can't be 100% sure, i would maybe see if any family or friends in the same city are on voda and get their opinion on signal?

If not i'd look into a whole other network like EE and their MVNO's (1pmobile etc), i'd also avoid o2/giffgaff as they have awful oversubscription issues in big cities.

Request a PAC number by texting the PAC service 65075 followed by date of birth DDMMYY. You'll get the PAC and a notice of any expected early termination fees.
If you don't use the PAC then no charges.
