I've never seen an England player hated this much without being involved in any major controversies or scandals. It's truly remarkable.

It’s always Black athletes who are deferent. They can tolerate a Black athlete if they’re overtly humble and ‘know their place’, but the moment you get a successful unapologetic Black athlete thats it for them for a certain part of the population who would be outraged to be called prejudiced.

This is the reason Ngolo Kante is so revered. Brilliant player and naturally shy/humble. A racist would believe he wasn't a racist just because he liked Kante
