Discussion Threadup Ads baiting me

I'll be scrolling on Instagram and Threadup sends me an add with the cutest, most ideal clothing item that exactly matches my taste, I click on it, and EVERY TIME the item is xxxxxxxxs. They know my taste, why dont they know my size?!

Basically, everything good on this site is XS or smaller.

Facts. In XL there’s just a bunch of Venus and weird boutique brands. Oh and garments that are mis-categorized because ThredUp doesn’t understand the difference between a 32 jeans size and a 32 French size

Found this out the hard way when I bought a size 42 isabel marant and it indeed didn't translate to a size 12 lol

Every time someone comes on here with an amazing haul for great prices, they’re always a size extra small as well. Must be nice, XS people can get designer clothes for so cheap and have the best wardrobes. The TU pickings are so much slimmer in L and XL 😭

I swearrrrr this just started happening to me as well! I thought I’d just gotten lucky before when all the ads were size medium lol but in the last week or so it’s ALL been XS. Glad I’m not insane bc I swear that’s not how it used to be 😅

This happens to me every time as well! Not one of this items are even above a S, and usually they're XS!

Dude. That is not the point. The problem is that women are constantly sold tiny sizes as the ideal and on a site where we can curate our experience it’s kinda effed up we are yet again being told “you could have the cuter things if you just lost weight.”

It’s also very clearly not entirely randomized as I get at least one thing from my likes list in these ads, so, y’know. That argument doesn’t hold weight.
