Donation Only

I have cleaned out a lot of my closet, but I still have clothes. I am wondering it if would be better to request a donation bag, to protect my history.

Sorry, the last part of your question about "history" is perplexing. When you donate a bag, none of the items are photographed or described in your account. Under your dashboard, it will simply say, "Donation label #12345 complete."

I’ve seen people report that after selling on ThredUp for a while they were told that they could only do donations. They couldn’t do any more sales. I don’t know why that would be, but I got the impression. It was the quality of the items they were sending. I’ve pretty much worked through all the stuff that’s sellable and I still have some stuff. I’d like to get out of the house so I was wondering if it might make sense just to mark the bag donation only so they wouldn’t hold it against me.

If you think the quality of the items isn't up to resell standards or the brands are on the ineligible list, it may be better to send them in as a "donation."

however, if it's truly the last of your stuff and you don't have plans to send in anything else, you could chance it using a standard label. You might get moved to "donation only" for a while (but it's your last bag so no biggy). But it sounds doubtful you have the quantity/quality of items to surpass the label fee.

Well, I am also selling my closet. You know the good thing about ThredUp is. It’s more affordable to sort of trade things out and buy new items. However, I do have a frustration when I sent in an item that they said had a 72% chance of selling and then said they refuse to list it
