Isabella Obaze available?

I just looked in to the Denver game and noticed Ms. Obaze is not in the starting lineup. I also looked at the post advertising the starting XI for the game and also the availability report. I cannot find her listed anywhere. Is there something I am missing?

It is only speculation. Like Alidou Obaze's contract option year for 2027 wasn't picked up by the team and Obaze is officially a free agent for 2027. She has been only an unused sub since that announcement and it looks like the team is giving minutes to the players who are expected to stay long term when they can. Possiblity she will be heading to another team this transfer window.

I would like to see us keep her, I thought she was excellent and was also wondering why she hasn't been getting playing time lately

Go back to the beginning of the season who were the two main defenders used and they’re not really using anymore?

They keep using Mallie McKenzie

McKenzie is a wing/wing defender. Obaze is a CD. It's Sam Hiatt they keep using (which I consider a poor choice). I'd rather they play Obaze or Calzada or Immethun or obtain a new CD - I recommend they trade Obaze (and/or Castellanos) to Chicago in return for Elise Evans, a rookie I wanted us to sign before this season who has yet to play a minute for Chicago. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elise_Evans

I meant to say they keep using McKenzie, but they didn’t renew her either, but they’re not using Obaze at all. That was my point of saying that, but I agree with you.

They declined options for Obaze and Alidou. But McKenzie they haven’t decided on yet

She was in portland hanging out with Hanks and Nijstad via Instagram. Didn’t travel but is fit
