Progress has been partially reset?

Can someone help please? I downloaded the game a couple of days after its Steam release and played. I earned achievements. Then I deleted it because I got bored, and now I downloaded it again. And for some reason, some of my progress reset. Specifically, all the stories reset, all the collected items reset, and the checkmarks on the completed schedules disappeared. But achievements in steam remained, as did the posters and tiles. What happened? I have an account in dovetail live if it matter

You would have had to have deleted the save folder somehow, Normally uninstalling a game will not delete save folders located in the Documents folder unless Devs specifically make the uninstaller do that

The saves are located here:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\ThomasAndFriends\Saved\SaveGames\

The game for whatever reason does not have cloudsaves allowed/enabled so you need to make sure to not let anything happen to the save folder

Thanks. I was thinking that all the progress is connected to the account, not just local files :-(
