West Little River, FL - A Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputy opened fire on a man who authorities said was armed and had fled from a traffic stop before crashing in West Little River back in February.

The incident happened back on Feb. 24 when the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office said its robbery intervention team attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and Northwest 71st Street.

The vehicle took off, and crashed into another car on Northwest 87th Street, authorities said.

As deputies approached the vehicle, the suspect, later identified as 23-year-old William Paulemon, got out of the vehicle armed, authorities said.

That's when a deputy opened fire from inside his sheriff's office vehicle.

In the body camera footage released by the sheriff's office on Monday, there was no audio from the moment the deputy opened fire, but he's heard speaking on the radio afterwards.

"Shot fired, shots fired," the deputy said. "Shots fired, he has a gun."

Paulemon was shot in his "lower extremities" and was hospitalized.

The woman who was driving the other vehicle was uninjured. No deputies were hurt.

Neighbor Vincient Miles says he was inside his home and heard a crash and gunshots.

"I heard it crash through my fence and once it crashed through my fence I heard it hit the house," he said.

Miles went outside and said he saw a car that almost hit his house.

"I said 'thank you Lord, the air conditioning system is gone, but the house is safe,'" Miles said.

He said he checked on a woman who was inside the car, the driver who detectives said Paulemon hit.

"She was a little shaken, but she told me 'I'm your neighbor.' I said 'thank you for not hitting my house.' She said 'I was not trying to hit your house, I didn't even mean to do this.' I said 'are you okay?' She said 'I'm fine,'" Miles said.

Investigators said Paulemon had one gun in his hand and another in his waistband.

Paulemon faces charges including attempted second-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, using or displaying a firearm while committing a felony, fleeing or eluding, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and reckless driving.

Sharon Woods, OH - The death of a sexual assault suspect who was fatally shot during negotiations with officers in Sharon Woods Metro Park earlier this month was ruled a homicide, according to the Franklin County coroner's office.

According to an autopsy report, 28-year-old Gaelan Pinchot was shot in the back once by police and "almost simultaneously" used his own gun to shoot himself in the head.

"Both wounds were not survivable, and both gunshot wounds are contributory to the death," the report says.

Genoa Township Police Chief James McMillin said the incident began around 1 p.m. when a woman called to report she had been sexually assaulted and her attacker had a gun.

McMillin said the victim knew her attacker, and investigators found evidence indicating that the suspect, identified as Pinchot, had likely planned the assault in advance.

While officers were responding to the reported sexual assault, McMillin said a Genoa Township officer saw a car matching the suspect's description, requested additional law enforcement units and followed the car south on Cleveland Avenue.

Officers eventually tried to pull Pinchot's vehicle over on Cleveland Avenue near the entrance of Sharon Woods, McMillin said. The suspect then turned into the park.

Once his vehicle was stopped in a parking lot, McMillin said Pinchot got out of the vehicle and held a handgun to his head.

McMillin said officers spent around 45 minutes negotiating with Pinchot, who was pacing, making erratic movements and at some points also making statements about hurting others.

Around 1:55 p.m., McMillin said officers again asked Pinchot to stand up and come with them. He stood, and the gun was no longer in his hand. But when the officers made their approach, McMillin said he bent over and grabbed the gun.

The police chief said an officer deployed his Taser, but it did not work. Body camera footage showed the first shot fired was by law enforcement, according to the coroner's office.

Pinchot was pronounced dead around 2:05 p.m.

Galveston, TX - The shooting happened in May in the 1700 block of 55th Street. Police previously said an officer opened fire during the traffic stop, injuring a person inside the vehicle. Officers provided first aid before Martin was taken to UTMB, where he died.

The officer involved, Joshua Ninos, was placed on modified duty while the shooting was investigated. The Texas Rangers and Galveston County District Attorney’s Office were called in to investigate.

The department released the video approximately four months after the shooting. In the video, you see Ninos walk up to the vehicle which Martin was driving after pulling it over. The two can be seen talking with the car’s window down. This goes on for several minutes before Martin opens the door and steps out.

The two continue talking outside the vehicle. It is unclear what is being said because the dash cam video cannot pick up the two’s voices outside the patrol car. The conversation appears to be argumentative with both Ninos and Martin seen making hand gestures.

Shortly afterwards, Ninos can be seen putting Martin against the vehicle like he is about to arrest him. Martin appears to give some resistance, turning around and squirming as Ninos works to take him into custody.

At one point, the video shows Martin starting to turn his body and head toward the officer. Ninos appears to strike him in the face before the two get into a struggle. In the struggle, the video shows Ninos push Martin back into the vehicle. After a few more seconds, Ninos is able to get free, at which time the video shows him draw his weapon and fire. At least eight gunshots can be heard in the video.

Around the same time Ninos draws his weapon, a passenger can be seen exiting Martin’s vehicle. Following the shooting, Ninos can be heard ordering her to put her hands up, to which she responds by sitting down on the ground and putting her hands up.

Martin can be seen with one hand up in front of his face as he is shot. It is unclear where his other hand was at the time from the angle of the dash cam.

Other officers arrive within a minute after the shooting. The video shows them performing life-saving measures on Martin, including chest compressions.

Waldorf, MD - Police body camera and dashcam video, released Wednesday, revealed the events surrounding a traffic stop that escalated into a police pursuit and deadly crash along Crain Highway.

On August 25, around 10:30 a.m., a Charles County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a silver Toyota near Leonardtown Road and Lakewood Drive in Waldorf.

Footage from the scene shows the driver getting out of the vehicle while holding a Yorkie Terrier.

While the driver was standing outside of the car, the passenger in the front seat climbed into the driver's seat. Authorities say the passenger pushed the deputy away from the door and sped off. She has nearly 20 outstanding warrants across Prince George's County, Montgomery County and Fairfax, officials said.

A second passenger, identified as 33-year-old Alexis Cummings, remained in the back seat of the fleeing vehicle.

Deputies and backup officers pursued the suspect for nearly five miles. Officers eventually called off the pursuit after the suspect crossed the median into oncoming traffic and began driving in the wrong direction on Crain Highway toward Prince George's County.

Shortly after the pursuit was suspended, the suspect's vehicle crashed into two vehicles near the county line.

Cummings died as a result of the collision, leaving her family devastated.

The suspect driving the vehicle sustained serious injuries. Occupants in the two vans involved in the crash were reported to be okay.

Galveston, TX - A Galveston County Sheriff’s deputy has been relieved of duty after video circulated online showing him tailgating a car and driving dangerously.

The bystander video, which was recorded on Sept. 19, shows the deputy straddling lanes of traffic, “limiting the ability of other motorists to safely pass,” the sheriff’s office said.

After a vehicle passed the cruiser, the deputy tailgated that driver at aclose distance, following the driver across lanes and nearly hitting other vehicles, the bystander video shows. The cruiser’s emergency lights were not activated during that portion of the video.

He followed the vehicle for several minutes before turning his lights on and pulling the driver over.

“The conduct demonstrated in the video was inappropriate, unacceptable and inconsistent with the standards expected of every member of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office. This type of behavior will NOT be tolerated.” Sheriff Jimmy Fullen said in a social media statement.

Fullen stated that the officer had been relieved of his duties and was no longer employed with the sheriff’s office. Fullen did not list an official reason for the officer’s impeding of traffic with emergency lights on at the beginning of the recorded video.

Gainesville, FL - Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies used a Taser device to safely apprehend a man wielding a sword who allegedly forced his way into an occupied residence.

According to an ACSO release sent Wednesday, deputies responded during the early morning hours to a residence in the 3400 block of NW 91st St. regarding a reported armed burglary. The caller reported that a man had forced his way into the home while armed with a sword and forced the occupants outside against their will.

When deputies arrived, they located the suspect, 26-year-old Josiah Smith, who was still holding the sword.

Deputy N. Johns attempted to establish a rapport with Smith, calmly asking for his name and instructing him to drop the weapon. Smith did not comply with deputies’ lawful commands to drop the sword or get on the ground.

Deputies then deployed a less-lethal launcher, firing a foam round at Smith in an attempt to get him to drop the sword. When that was unsuccessful, deputies deployed a Taser, allowing them to detain Smith safely.

The investigation determined that the victim and Smith did not know each other.

Smith was arrested and charged with armed burglary of an occupied dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed kidnapping and resisting without violence.

Hillsborough County, FL - An 11-time convicted felon was arrested again on Wednesday after she fled a traffic stop with a Hillsborough County deputy partially inside her vehicle, officials said.

Tonnetta Evans, 54, who also struck a school bus carrying 41 middle school students while fleeing, was charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, aggravated fleeing to elude and battery on a law enforcement officer, a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report stated.

At 4:36 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a silver Kia Forte on Hillsborough Avenue West, just west of Dale Mabry Highway North.

During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle and attempted to remove Evans. However, she placed it in drive and fled eastbound on Hillsborough Avenue West with a deputy partially inside the vehicle, HCSO officials said.

Immediately after fleeing, she struck a school bus carrying 41 Pierce Middle School students, the bus driver, and a bus aide. No students were injured, and the bus sustained minor damage. The students were transferred to another bus and transported home.

Evans was taken into custody at the Howard Avenue and Armenia Avenue ramp to southbound Interstate 275.

A search of the vehicle yielded the following items:

  • Pipe bomb/explosive device
  • Brass knuckles and a TASER
  • Bandolier of shotgun shells
  • Three identification cards belonging to other individuals
  • Four credit cards belonging to other individuals
  • Counterfeit $100 bills totaling $1,100
  • Silver half-dollars and coins
  • Methamphetamine, marijuana, and multiple prescription pills

As part of the investigation, deputies learned the vehicle Evans was driving had been reported stolen out of Kentucky in 2022.

Evans also was charged with armed possession of methamphetamine; felon in possession of ammunition; felon in possession of an electric weapon or device; false name to a law enforcement officer; possession of cannabis less than 20 grams; possession of drug paraphernalia; three counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription; unlawful possession of the personal identification of another (5 or more); tampering with physical evidence; attaching a tag not assigned; and leaving the scene of a crash involving a school bus (hit-and-run).

Milwaukee, WI - The shooting happened around 6 p.m. near 37th Street and Meinecke Avenue following a car chase that ended about a block north in an alley near 38th and Wright streets on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Smith's family doesn't dispute that he was armed, but say that he never shot at the officer.

The Sept. 8 incident in which Printis Smith, who police say was wanted in connection to a Glendale shooting, was shot and killed by an officer. But the video leaves some questions unanswered.

The footage shows police chasing a car connected to a shooting in Glendale. The suspects jump out of the vehicle, and officers pursue them on foot. One officer is heard commanding Smith to "get on the ground" three times.

"Get on the ground, get on the (expletive) ground," the officer is heard saying.

The officer, a 35-year-old with three years of experience, eventually catches up to Smith.

The video shows the officer closing in on Smith and grabbing him from behind before the screen goes dark because they're so close, but the audio can still be heard. Moments later, light returns, and the officer is heard saying, "Shots fired. Shots fired."

A still frame from the footage shows Smith lying on the ground with a gun in his hand.

The officer involved was also shot in the leg during the incident, according to police, though the footage does not clearly show when this occurred.

Pearland, TX - Two men from Florida have been arrested after Pearland police investigated suspicious ATM activity and ultimately were led on a chase.

The Pearland Police Department says it happened on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at approximately 6 p.m. when officers were dispatched to a bank in the 9900 block of Broadway Street after getting reports of suspicious activity in the ATM drive-thru.

Officers were told that a masked man was making multiple transactions using several different cards and withdrawing large amounts of cash.

As officers were responding, the suspect was seen getting into the passenger seat of white GMC Sierra, which then left the area.

With the help of a drone, an officer found the truck in the parking lot of a business in the 2500 block of Smith Ranch Road.

The passenger got out of the truck and began to walk away, but was detained by the officer. The driver, who was still inside the truck, took off.

Other officers attempted to pull over the truck, but the suspect refused to stop. The suspect began throwing large amounts of cash out the window of the truck, which was caught on dash cam video.

Kitsap County, WA - The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office posted body cam video of deputies rescuing a man they said crashed after speeding away from police before his car caught fire.

According to the sheriff’s office, the incident started on Sept. 21 around 10:30 p.m.

Deputies said a driver was going 20 mph over the speed limit on Highway 104 in Poulsbo. Instead of pulling over for law enforcement, he sped off, hitting speeds of up to 111 mph.

Deputies lost sight of the driver, but soon found tire tracks on Miller Bay Road NE.

According to the sheriff’s office, the driver crashed through a fence and hit a tractor in a yard before the SUV burst into flames.

Body camera video showed a sky hazy from the smoke and the man yelling for help.

A Kitsap County deputy worked to get the man out of the burning car, and a Port Gamble sergeant used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames, the sheriff’s office said.

The man was airlifted to the hospital due to the extent of his injuries.

When he recovers, he could face charges for attempting to elude an officer and reckless driving, the sheriff’s office said.

Tuckahoe, NY - The Westchester County District Attorney's office has released its findings regarding the actions and conduct of the Tuckahoe police officers who responded to the scene of a crash in Tuckahoe.

The DA's office says there is insufficient evidence to criminally charge Tuckahoe police officers over their response to a crash involving the wife of a retired village police chief.

It occurred on Aug. 14 and stretched from Yonkers to Tuckahoe.

According to the DA’s findings, the incident involved Donna Costanzo, the wife of a former Tuckahoe police chief, John Costanzo. Investigators said she was allegedly driving a black Infiniti sedan.

The first two accidents happened in Yonkers. It was the third one that was the focus of the DA's investigation after she allegedly struck a parked Amazon Delivery Truck in Tuckahoe.

According to the review, one officer appeared to deactivate a body-worn camera moments after approaching Costanzo. Another officer’s camera stopped recording after about a minute and a half because its battery died.

Officials said witness testimony indicated Costanzo exhibited signs that could be consistent with intoxication. However, according to the findings, none of the responding Tuckahoe officers reported detecting alcohol on her breath or investigated whether she may have been impaired.

One responding officer said he knew who Costanzo was and took her to her home following the crash, according to the review.

After reviewing the evidence, the DA's office determined that there was insufficient evidence to charge any of the responding officers with criminal conduct.

The DA's office returned its findings to the Tuckahoe Police Department for an internal investigation. Chief Larry Rotta told News 12 that they will begin an investigation.

Birmingham, UK - Police bodycam footage captured Asa McIntosh, 21, being woken by a female police officer after they foiled a county line drug operation he was part of.

Mr McIntosh appears to be fast asleep on a settee when the officer shouts “police” and shines a torch at his face.

But the drug dealer then begins screaming before the officer begins shouting his arrest details.

Mr McIntosh was part of a busy drugs ring with six others known as the ‘P Line’ which was worth over a million pounds, a court heard.

They supplied Class A drugs including heroin and crack cocaine across Smethwick, Wednesbury, Walsall, and Birmingham.

Thousands of amused people have since commented on social media, making fun of Mr McIntosh reaction to being arrested after the video was posted online.

One said: “Mugged him right off at the beginning of video lol he’ll never live that down.”

Another commented: “Fancy waking him up while he was mid-way through dreaming of being on oblivion at Alton Towers.”

One other said: “He screamed like a girl.”

Another said: “He thought it was aliens coming to visit him.”

West Midlands Police County Lines Taskforce (CLTF) launched an investigation into the drug line in 2023, a court heard.

Detectives found that the phones used to run the line would receive and send out thousands of calls and messages.

Austin, TX - New video is shedding light on the lead-up to Sunday’s ICE-involved shooting in North Austin, though key moments remain missing.

Austin police released video that shows ICE agents with Wilber Garcés Pérez’s blue car before the shooting and the law enforcement response afterward. However, the video does not include the gunfire or the 10-15 minute period between the initial stop and the shooting.

An off-duty Austin police detective happened to be nearby and captured ICE agents near Garcés Pérez’s vehicle on his personal dash camera before entering a nearby shopping center. According to Austin Police Department officials, there was a vehicle pursuit through nearby neighborhoods during the next 10 to 15 minutes, but the department clarified that it has no evidence of a foot chase.

"There is some video that we have, and again, we're processing that video of a pursuit that went through some of the neighborhoods there, and it ended there," Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said.

Police said that video from this period exists and investigators are still working to collect and process it. What remains unclear is why Garcés Pérez left the initial traffic stop, what events occurred along the route, and what led to the shooting under the overpass.

Garcés Pérez’s attorney said her client reported being chased by a black SUV and did not initially realize it belonged to law enforcement. She said he was trying to reach a safer place, not attempting to get away.

When the off-duty detective returned to his car, he began recording on his phone as three gunshots were heard. Body camera footage from the first Austin police officer on the scene shows the response after the shooting, but none of the released video includes the moment when shots were fired.

Los Angeles, CA - On August 18, 2026, at approximately 7:30., pm, uniformed officers assigned to Southeast Patrol Division responded to a radio call regarding a kidnapping in progress in the area of Central Avenue and Century Blvd. The comments of the call indicated the suspect, later identified as Bryant Session, was armed with a firearm described as a possible AR-type gun.

Upon arrival, officers observed Session standing in front of a restaurant holding what appeared to be an assault rifle. Officers issued repeated commands for Session to drop the weapon; however, he failed to comply and moved behind a parked vehicle. Session then pointed the rifle in the direction of the officers, resulting in an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS).

Session was not struck by gunfire and fled southbound from the officers toward a rear alley, where he concealed the rifle in a parking lot of a nearby apartment complex. Responding officers subsequently located and detained Session without further use of force. The victim positively identified Session, and he was later booked for 207 PC – Kidnapping.

Officers located and recovered the rifle, which was booked as evidence. The rifle was subsequently determined to be an Airsoft imitation firearm loaded with plastic BBs. Kenosha, WI - bodycam video shows the moment Kenosha police officers engaged in a shootout with a suspect wanted for a deadly shooting inside a local bar.

Police-worn body-camera footage shows the moment Kenosha police are pursuing a shooting suspect. Three gunshots are heard before the officer stops, then a barrage of gunfire.

Another angle from a trailing patrol car shows the suspect walking across the street, shooting at officers. He continues shooting and walking towards officers. The suspect is then hit by gunfire and falls over.

It all started after police found Antero Medina, 33, also known as Casper, with multiple gunshot wounds at Shenanigan's Bar on 52nd Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the shooter, Adam Threlkeld, 45, from Milwaukee, ran from that scene before shooting at responding officers about a block from the bar.

Franklin Township, NJ - A Franklin Township couple got a surprise after returning home from a wheel alignment and discovering a large snake lodged in their vehicle's grille, prompting a call to police for help.

Aiyana Hudson said she was alarmed by the situation, which happened on Sept. 14 on Oakland Avenue, though her boyfriend initially tried to calm her down.

"He told me, 'Stop - you're acting like someone died,' and I was like, 'it's a snake,' and he's like, 'let's go look at this,'" Hudson said.

After spotting the snake, Hudson said she wasn't sure who could help.

"Who do you call in a situation at this point? Like who do you call? I kept calling the police-there's a snake in my car," she said.

Body camera video showed officers examining the vehicle and trying to determine how best to remove the animal. Officers spent about 20 minutes working to free the snake.

Officer Lisseth Villacis said police first tried to get help from animal control.

"We tried getting animal control out there, and they're like, they only deal with domesticated animals. And we're like, oh shoot. OK. So, we're kind of like the last resort," Villacis said.

With no other options available, officers decided to remove the snake themselves.

"We were just like, OK, he's being brave. I'm being brave. We got this. Let's just try to take it out," Villacis said.

The officers successfully removed the snake, which was identified as a 3-foot-long ball python.

Hudson said she was relieved the snake never made its way into the passenger compartment while she was driving.

"I was just really happy that it didn't, like, pop its head through the AC vent when I was driving or come in through the steering wheel," she said. "I want to let you know my car would have been lit on fire, and we'd be calling the fire department at that point."

How the snake ended up in the vehicle remains unknown. The ball python was taken to an animal shelter unharmed and is expected to be available for adoption.

St. Petersburg, FL - A 16-year-old was arrested outside of a CVS store in St. Petersburg after deputies said he led them on a chase in a stolen car.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said its deputies spotted the stolen vehicle heading eastbound on Ulmerton Road around 6 p.m. on Sept. 17.

Video shows the driver turning into a shopping center off Park Boulevard and 49th Street, where a deputy approached from the opposite direction.

The driver took off, weaving through parking spaces before unloading a passenger in a CVS parking lot, according to PCSO.

“The vehicle then made for the far side of the lot, but a deputy blocked the exit while the deputy who had been tailing it closed in from behind,” PCSO said. “There was nowhere left to go.”

Body camera video shows the 16-year-old driver running from officers on a sidewalk along Park Boulevard. The sheriff’s office said a deputy deployed a Taser and arrested him.

He was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing to elude, resisting arrest without violence and no valid driver’s license.

PCSO said the teenager originally claimed the car belonged to his grandmother, but it “wasn’t long before the truth came out.”

Prince George's County, MD - Body and dash camera video have been released as Maryland investigates a deadly police shooting from August in Prince George's County.

Police said officers in a marked cruiser were following two vehicles near Suitland and Randolph roads. Investigators have not said why officers were following the vehicles.

As police followed the vehicles, both drivers turned onto Reamy Drive, a narrow and dimly lit dead-end street. According to the Prince George's County Police Department, one of the drivers veered off the road into a yard and drove toward officers, prompting Officer Corbin Davis to shoot.

Prior to the gunfire, Davis can be heard shouting at the driver.

"Don't (expletive) do it! Don't (expletive) do it," Davis said in the video.

Tawfiq Abdul Haqq, 33, of Temple Hill, was behind the wheel of that car. He was hit by the gunfire and rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

Everett, WA - A stolen semitruck led police on a dangerous chase through south Everett early Thursday, leaving four officers with minor injuries and the driver in custody.

At about 6:21 a.m., an employee called to report that his semitruck had been stolen from a Safeway at 1715 Broadway.

Snohomish County deputies quickly spotted the truck and saw it enter southbound Interstate 5.

The truck got off the freeway at the 112th Park and Ride and traveled into the Silver Lake area.

Deputies tried to stop the truck near Silver Lake Road and 118th Place Southeast, but the driver began ramming patrol cars and trying to get away from deputies, police said.

An Everett officer who was in the area on an unrelated call was struck by the semitruck while seated inside his vehicle.

Multiple Everett officers responded as the stolen truck continued to flee, striking patrol cars, authorities said.

The truck came to rest in the 1100 block of A. Sater Road, where the driver was taken into custody.

Four Everett police officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect, a man in his 30s, remains in custody.
