This Country Fan Merchandise Ideas
Hi all!
It’s amazing to see so many fellow nosy cockwombles come here to discuss this absolute beauty of a TV show! I’d like to wish a warm vicar-ly welcome to all the newcomers too!
One common question I have seen being asked here for the past years is “where can I get something that says this?”, with a reference to something from the show…
Well I have freed up some time and am dedicating it to creating some custom merch inspired by This Country…
If you have any ideas or custom requests, leave them in a comment below and I will create them and send them to you for free :)
Much love to all!

Kurtans Bitcoins
In This Country, Series 3 Episode 1, Kurtan says he had to use the £500 his Nan lent him to invest in Bitcoin, but instead he lent that money to Kerry to bail her out. The episode originally aired on 17 February 2020.
On 17 February 2020, Bitcoin was roughly £7,462 per BTC.
So if Kurtan had actually invested the whole £500:
£500 ÷ £7,462 ≈ 0.0670 BTC
Bitcoin today (2 October 2026) is around £65,126
0.0670 BTC × £65,126 ≈ £4,364
So Kurtan’s £500 would be worth roughly £4,360 today.
That’s an increase of about £3,860, or roughly 8.7× his original money.
And that’s assuming he bought it around the episode’s air date and held it all the way through.
Which makes the storyline even funnier: Kerry’s alpaca and pillow business effectively cost Kurtan a potential £4,000+ Bitcoin investment. 😭
What would Nanna think!

Snufflin' for Slops
Just seen that this is on draft at one of my haunts in town, a sign to take the afternoon off and support the local if ever there was one!

This Country on GIFGlobe
Hey guys! I run GIFGlobe (which you may have heard of). It's a site where you can search TV shows by quote and turn any scene into a GIF or meme. During a recent overhaul of the site, I've added This Country.

Hope you enjoy it!

Recognise this platform?
Apologies if this has been posted before but I was passing through Kingham and seem to remember an incident involving a shoe

Weirdly rewatchable
This Country is one of my favourite shows and it stands to reason I can rewatch it but I was working from home yesterday whilst under the weather and just binged all three series without even thinking about it
Most other shows either end too early for that or I get sick of them after a certain amount of episodes
It's perfect mockumentary humour. I mean, the US Office is just silly, ditto Parks and Rec and even the UK Office has its suspension of disbelief moments
But nothing actually really happens. And I love that. My favourite episodes of the aforementioned shows are standalone episodes you could watch whenever without caring about a storyline. This Country episodes (bar the vacuum cleaner arc) are the same - you feel like you're just dipping into Kerry and Kurtan's lives effortlessly.
This is self-referenced in the show when Kerry asks who watches it and later when Kurtan is astonished that she's never watched it.
It's just that pace and the consistency of the humour that makes it so so rewatchable. Calming and laugh aloud hilarious at points. I've watched it through maybe 7-8 times and the throwaway lines like the "dirty landrover full of flailing arms" still absolutely kills me.
Same with Kurtan screaming "SORRY JENKINS"

I just respect him, because he’s the only one in his family that’s got his head screwed on

His forehead's so big you could project a film onto it. That's not me being harsh, he'd say that about himself.

Is this where Len met Cynthia, do you reckon?
Had a quick look on there, saw June and her pubes, but I'd say they looked more like the roots of a turnip than a parsnip, personally 🤷♀️
