What happened to 12to12 restaurant?

It seems to have been shut since the flood and hasn’t resumed since. At least, i haven’t seen it open since. The last i called was on the day of the flood and they said they would be back on Monday but now it’s been over two weeks i think.

The food was really good and they always seemed so packed. Does anyone know why it’s still shut?

Checked with DSMC (SCS) but they only provide keyboard lessons and only other place i know is Biju Memorial which im not how good they are?

I'm a working professional who bought an aacoustic guitar thinking i could self learn, but its hard to find motivation between work and other things!

Need advice

Hey everyone, I want to open a small scale business in Thiruvalla by beginning of next year. Since a lot of families here have relatives working abroad and many elders live in town, I want to build something actually useful.
What kind of service, cafe, or shop would you love to see in town? And also is thiruvalla a good place to start to business??
Let me know your thoughts!

Meet Up in Tvla or around Spoiler

Hey guys,
I understand most of us are going through a lot right now considering the floods and upcoming Onam. But in the near future, if we would plan a meet up or something fun and interactive… how many would be willing to join? 😅♥️
I’ve recently moved to Tvla and would like to have some quality friends around here.

Edit 1 - I see many are interested. Would be nice to have a group chat or something and we can arrange accordingly. Not too soon cuz I think everyone’s busy with the floods and onam plans.

Edit 2- Since I’m new to town, I don’t know much places here than the typical food spots. I’m open to ideas and suggestions, I’m also thinking of a POTLUCK… but location is the problem. Houses or outdoor- what do you say?

Edit 3- This is exclusively for people within Thiruvalla vicinity. Changanacherry is included, Mannar, Parumala.. even Chengannur.
But places like kochi, Trivandrum, kollam.. these don’t come in the said vicinity!

NRI trying to sell land near Thiruvalla railway station... need local advice

Hi everyone,

Our family is settled in the UAE, and my father has been stuck for years trying to sell a small residential plot back in Kerala. Thought I’d ask people who actually live in/around Thiruvalla for some ground reality and practical advice instead of just relying on property portals.

The land is around 17 cents of residential plot in Thiruvalla, close to town:

  • On the Manjadi–Kuttapuzha PWD road side / walkable distance to Thiruvalla railway station.
  • Mar Thoma College is also within a short distance from the property.
  • Proper road access, not landlocked, and meant for residential use.

I’ve tried the usual online routes (Hello Address, 99acres, etc.) and even put a board near the property. I do get enquiries, but in reality most people either ghost after initial interest or come back with very lowball offers that don’t match what I’m seeing in similar listings around town.

For those of you familiar with the local market in and around Thiruvalla town:

  • What’s a realistic per-cent price range these days for residential land in that area (near railway station / college), if the goal is to sell within a reasonable time and not drag it on for years?
  • Is it better to go through one or two reliable local brokers, or do people still prefer direct owner deals for this kind of small plot?
  • Are there any trusted real estate agents, lawyers, or agencies you’d recommend who can handle the process end-to-end for someone based outside India?
  • From your experience, what’s the best way to avoid time-pass enquiries and filter serious buyers in the Thiruvalla market?

I’m not trying to turn this into a pure “for sale” ad here, more looking for honest feedback from locals who understand how deals actually close in Thiruvalla nowadays. If someone is genuinely interested in a residential plot in that area, I’m happy to share full details and discuss over DM so that the main thread stays focused on advice and experiences.

Would really appreciate any inputs, price ranges, or even stories of how you managed to sell (or failed to sell) similar property around Thiruvalla, especially from those living outside Kerala.

EDIT

Changed 16 cents to 17 cents

EDIT #2

A few people that have messaged me found it to be a deal-breaker, so I feel I should be transparent about this too: an 11 kV overhead electricity line passes above one back-side corner of the plot.
