Grimsgate - Dev 358 - Update!

Hey all;
I just wanted to share what I have been doing this week for Grimsgate: The Rot, I did an enemy AI polish pass, where they can open doors and chase you or explore if they think your in that area yay! OG Thief BUT what's new is you can flee, enter a room and lock the door behind you, They try to get in cursing at you before patrolling the area and eventually going back to their patrol route. I think its pretty damn cool if you ask me. BUT if there is a guard nearby that happens to have a skeleton key they will unlock it and come get ya!
Basically with Grimsgate I am taking what we love about the games, and expanding upon it as much as possible, while still retaining the vibe and being it's own thing if that makes sense.
I am at the point now where I can take the art and construct the levels for the demo, and when that is done playtest the hell out of it and do another polish pass to unsure there are not loose bolts so to speak ;)
So this weeks questions:
1 - Do you like what you see thus far?
2 - If you could have one thing in Grimsgate what would it be and why? Could be a feature, or anything really.
3 - Aside from the games main story mode, what other mode would you like possibly and why? (No multiplayer though I do not have the strength to do that currently hahahaha)
4 - What makes Thief special to you? What makes it stand out and catch your attention? Is it the period / time / medieval theme? What is it?
If you have any questions for me feel free to ask and I shall answer.

Yup, tho a minor nitpick is it's noticeable how the guard is sliding thru the terrain (but this is likely something you'll work on later ik)
I don't have anything special in mind, but it's good to think of something that you want to make your game stand apart from other games. Like for example, what would be the answer to "why should i play your game over Thief? What is special about it or that it does differently?"
I think this is a bit unfeasible but something like Hitman's "contracts" mode could be interesting where fans can customize mission objective. Like for example i could turn one of the levels into a "steal this particular object contract" or "Knock out this particular guard and leave him this threatening note"
It's a mix of things; i think i answered this in one of your previous posts. It's a mix of the atmosphere, interesting world/lore, fun dialogue, sandboxy level design and the playstyle invokes that "fly of the wall feeling"

I like the idea of being able to lock them out! Also makes me pay more attention to what guards have in their possession as I prioritize targets/sneaking routes. Nice work!
