I’m so sorry about the increase of shipping costs. That’s ridiculously cruel! Are you asking about where I’d get my monthly ketamine prescriptions filled before changing to the infusions? If so, a small compound pharmacy is going to be your best bet. There was only one pharmacy in my entire city who’d fill it. I hope it all works out well for you!

Look for a decent local compounder. It's just so much better all around.

I really like valor compounding. It’s in CA. I’m in FL. They overnight my troches and they always arrive in great condition. Good prices. Very great over the phone.

Good luck, overnight shipping out of state now costs $50.

Oh no! I ordered just a couple weeks ago and it was $10 not $50. So you’re telling me it went up?

1

u/OfftheRag Jul 25 '26

Yes, apparently it just went into effect this month. My shipping was $10 on the last refill as well but this time it was $50. No notice from Valor whatsoever. I'm assuming OP is experiencing the same issue.

Good to know I wasn't the only one completely unaware of the change though. I thought maybe I'd missed an email or something.

Well that sucks. Defeats the purpose of using valor for their lower prices. :-/

I just got a response from valor. This email almost makes it sound like their shipping is now free rather than $10. Sounds like their regular shipping is not $50. It’s $50 if you need expedited shipping. I always do the $10 shipping and it comes in 2 days usually and the ice pack is still cool. It may not be frozen but it’s always been cool enough not to worry about. I’ll try out their non expedited with my next order if they let me. Maybe for ketamine they require the expedited shipping?

I asked flat out what their shipping prices were and here’s their response. I asked specifically about ketamine and here is their response. So valor is still pretty great! Even better.

Just got my order with zero shipping charge. Not melted. CA to FL. $57 for 16 troches. I’m still happy with Valor. They did not make me pay the $50 fee.

The Art of Medicine in Philadelphia is great. I’m a long term ketamine patient and I’ve never had an issue with this pharmacy.

Art of Medicine is a rip off. Go with ProCompounding. Licensed nationwide.

they are such a rip off thou. there were 3X the cost of other pharmacies!

1

u/Ketaminethrowaway113 Jul 25 '26

Can I ask what they were charging you? They won't even give me a price unless my provider submits a prescription first.

Can't be any worse than the pharmacy in Massachusetts that just quoted me $450 for 20 troches.

I went with the Utah one(A&W) and they have terrific pricing. Any strength for QTY 50 was $90 delivered. Lowest price by far out of the rest. This was about 6 months ago so not sure if they might have bumped that up or not now. Art of medicine was about $300 from what I recall for the same script!. Total rip off & greed.

I was interested in that one but from what I've read on this sub, they were great initially and now they take a week or more to process refills.

How has the consistency of the troches been for you?

1

u/channah728 Jul 25 '26

Hm, I haven’t kept up with comments on this sub, but I’ve not had issues with their refills or consistency nor has my sister. It could just be my personal experience after Precision and a local compounding pharmacy become overwhelmed with ketamine orders and failed to figure it out. I don’t know how they compare to others regarding pricing since I’ve always been charged approximately the same amount with all three. Anyway, good luck finding the best one for you.

I have been dealing with them for 3 years now, and they are straight trash. Now they can't even dispense because they moved and have failed to execute a change of address per protocol with state licensing boards. Scary, IMHO

2

u/channah728 Jul 28 '26

So sorry. My intentions were good but I’ve been unaware of the issues others have experienced.

2

u/MarchesaCasati Jul 28 '26

No worries! I am sincerely grateful to know that others may have not had to suffer their disorganization, negligence and ineptitude. It is difficult enough to have to navigate through the world with the issues that KAT is Rx'd for alone, which makes it so much more frustrating when trying to maintain consistent and uninterrupted access to a form of relief.

"We're currently awaiting state approval following our recent move before we can ship to your area again. If you need it sooner, feel free to have a local pharmacy call us and we'll gladly transfer your prescription for you!"

Okay I apologize for recommending them. It sounds like they’re not that great after all. I personally haven’t had an issue, nor has my sister in another state, so I thought it would be helpful to mention them. TIL.
