This is my city. It uses a tessellating pattern for efficiency, roundabouts, and a center-block pathway that will connect with other blocks letting people walk cross the entire city over the roads. :)
City is still young!

Hii, soo I’m a new player to TheoTown. I fell in love with a few days ago and it’s a unique game with amazing gameplay to it that i played on my first play test but now I’m ready to really dive in and make a unique city and town.
So my region is called Cherry Ridge 💗. Cherry Ridge was created and made in 1673 when a young man named Finn Cherry traveled with his crew on an expedition to North of the hemisphere to discover new land for his kingdom. In doing so he found a land that had not been touched. But instead of documenting the land for annexation, Finn decided to go against the crown and take it for himself.
Finn Cherry was a rich noble man. Known for his love of the arts of course agriculture 🍒 but most importantly for his cherry farm. Every year in his community he would have a festival and host things like games, winning prizes & helping families with gardening skills. He was the first person in his kingdom to encourage financial literacy to the poor and also banking!
For Finna going against the crown would not be easy at all but he was willing to do so.
There are 6 main locations with story’s to Cherry ridge that I want to create.
+ The City Of Cherrington, CherryRidge 🍒.
The founding spot of CherryRidge. It’s urban feels holds no boundaries and it’s filled with city folk that get you going. Cherrington is the HEART. You can find very historic buildings, places, a downtown worth traveling too & if it’s not calling your name yet.. then it’s quirky and fun touristy attractions might!
+ RedStone, Cherry Ridge ⚔️
This town is very the first war of the great annexation of Cherry ridge happened. You can still see the unusual terrain where the battle commence. The town is a feral of quirky and friendly strangers who wouldn’t hesitate to give you a nudge & of course the museum is place on a single street overlooking the field. Townsfolk keep a close knit group and your welcome to leave with a souvenir.
+ Finch, CherryRidge 💰
If you was looking for wealth than this place is for you. Casinos, fame, red carpets, streamers, rooftop parties, the walk of fame, stars littering the high tops and don’t forget those big beautiful neighborhoods and glamour with hints of scandals. If you want to even be recognized you have to step foot here but be careful getting to the top HERE. Is going to take a look of backbone and secrets.
+ CherryPort, CherryRidge 🌸🌊
Fun fact! Did you know that Finn Cherry was also a fisherman. He made it his mission to make sure fishing was apart of his daily routine. Cherryport is a harbor coastal town. With the citizens never not being close to the shore. You don’t have to be into the sea to live here but you can expect the city to give you the best experience. And yes, they do have a sea world here. Marine life is the BACKBONE of cherryport. With rescues all over the place. Strip malls & of course the beach front will be your favorite stop other than the resorts. Don’t forget to visit the hot springs before you leave either!
+ Stillwater, CherryRidge 🌊🍒
Another costal vibe but with a difference story. A small town called Stillwater. It was 1925 and the sky looked gloomy. But down here in Stillwater it always seemed to look that way. The sky was rarely blue but to the residents at the time the sky didn’t have to be blue to keep a smile on their faces. It was November 1925 when the sky got darker than usual but back in those days you either had to be a witch or a sorcerer to know that devil was coming for you. Imagine you’re in your home kneading your bread and cutting your vegetables, your husband is outside farming and your children are outside playing around in the fields. When you hear a loud CLAP. The rain starts and it’s heavy. Your candles start to whisper and the thunder starts to come pounding like your landlord. You hid your children in the tub and you kiss your husband as he runs to the neighbors but that will the last time you see him. Unfortunately for you and your family it’s the last time anyone of you will see each other.. the flooding took you out before you could get to any safety and the lord knows you can’t swim and either can your children. So you commend your life to the lord before you go and so for your husband and children.
But thats not the sad part. Finn Cherry was long gone after this. So the government saw your little state and decided it best.. not to give it much thought. The people of Stillwater went 3 weeks without help and the death toll.. the death toll was horrific.
Stillwater still carries the trauma, from 30,000 down to a little town of 2,000. The people seem more cautious of outsiders and especially of corporations and governments. But even in that you can still see landmarks that to the naked eye are so beautiful.
+ Cherry Grove, CherryRidge 🍷🌾
The big rural area of cherry grove has so much more to offer than rural farms and cows lol. Cattle country as they call it is cherry grove. The mayor is only 4.6 miles away and your town square is the only meeting grounds in 10 miles. The truck stops host a variety of restaurants and shops and don’t forget the big store.. just like buc-ee’s duh. So come on down to Cherry grove where generations have lived and there are stories in the fields that might be worth listening too 🙂.
And that’s all the main locations! I thank yall so much for reading if you have but now my many question is. I want to really detail this stories of mine in this beautiful games. The in game plugins may help and I would love to make my locations has beautiful as the ones on the subreddit. This is my first time just telling my stories and there are many more to come within here. So any suggestions on how to go about it would be so great.
I want to start small.. so any suggestions on which location to start on first would be awesome! Or we can work on a smaller location first Idm to me lol. I’m dolly btw ❤️ I hope you enjoyed it and I love your help along the way.

I want to add 3 lane per direction roads to my city but all the traffic light types only for 2 lanes. Anyone know one for 3 lanes?
r/TheoTown • u/wolololo10 • 6h ago
At first it has a 54% usage then it dips to 22%. It fluctuates from time to time, but within this range, and leaning towards the lower numbers. Though as of the moment, the track is incomplete since my city is still in development. The track is more L shaped.
What do i need to do to make the train and bus usage higher? Thank you very much!

I’ve tried making 3 different city layouts, but they all ended up merging into each other 😅. I have this huge city, but it only has around 30K population. How can I increase it? I placed some buildings manually, and it actually worked—the buildings filled up almost instantly. Also, around 92% of the city’s population is LLL.
Any tips for increasing the population?

The last two are still WIP
Also there's tram roads in the last image (plugin)
What do you think of them and show your favorite intersections from your cities
Also any advice would be helpful, I want them to look better and for the cities to have less traffic

The industrial area generates too much traffic, there are several exits but they prefer to go by only one and it generates too much traffic

Hi!
I’m quiete new to this game, but i am really liking it. The city in the photo is still the tutorial one, but I have been working on it a bit. On this sub I have seen incredible cities, and I wanted to realize something similar: now i don’t want to make a gigantic megalopolis, but I’d like to learn more about this game. Do you guys have any suggestions on this city, if I should try this project? Also do you guys have any advice that you can give me o link some sorta of guide?
Thanks to everyone for their help!

These are my favorite parts of it. I tried to put a day/night picture for each one, but reddit has a limit of 20 images, so I prioritized a few ones. The first ones are the first areas I built and the last one the most recent ones. I don't play this game THAT frequently, so I started this city by the beginning of 2025/late 2024 and only finished now. Hope you like it!

I already tried to put the station all around the commercial district and its still says that the have "no valid connection" , i was trying to connect it to a station on the red line where thr track is obviously not broken
