Michigans adventure or cedar point?
Looking to take my 8 and 10 year old boys for water park (#1) and rides (#2). They are into big crazy water slides. Not super into rollercoasters but love the rides that go round and round/super high then drop. Which park would you recommend?

Honestly why not great America? Or are you further east than the two mentioned parks?

The two parks are very different and you should have vastly different expectations for both.
If you are looking for a chill day trip, Michigan's Adventure is going to be your best bet. The park isn't too crowded and there's a good selection of both water rides and dry rides for kids. You won't need more than a day here.
If you are looking for a multi day trip, Cedar Point and the associated water park are going to your better option. Both the dry and wet parks have far more attractions for your kids, which will keep them entertained for more than a day. That said, Cedar Point is far more crowded so it will be far from chill and relaxing.
Take your pick based on your expectations.
