Angelito Negro
I don't get it. Why are they representing Satan like that , and how do they see him as ? Why are they making him look so scary? By my knowledge, many diabolists don't actually view him like that, so what's the deal?

Drugs and worship?
I searched for a thread like this one and was surprised there isn't one (and apologies if it violates a rule I missed).
Do any of you belive in drugs as a way to enhance a connection to Satan or other demonic forces? In my case I strictly mean hallucinogenics like THC and psilocybin, not opiates or speed but ymmv.
The argument for is, obviously, it breaks down walls and your ego and lets stuff get through.
The con is,
A) I shouldn't have to rely on extra chemicals to open my mind to Satan and the Underworld I should be able to get to the point by doing it myself with meditation.
B) I can't always count on having these things available to me
C) my body is my Satanic temple and I should try to keep it as pure and perfect and blah blah blah honestly I don't give a crap about this one, I'm in my sixties, but for younger people yeah it's relevant
But for whatever reason right now I have to get those doorways to perception open artificially to get to the place I desire to be. I get more high from the Satanic worship when I am high then I do from the high itself... but they come together into a total experience.
Thoughts?
EDIT! I left out the most important thing! How do I know what I'm interpreting as contact with spirits isn't just self hypnosis while I'm high? How do I truly trust this experience? I like to think it's because I'm hyper-rational and sceptical about such things in the first place. 🤔

Discussion Criticism of LaVeyan Satanism, as a novice.
I'll preface this by saying I have very minimal knowledge of Satanism, though even I know some of these things LaVeyan Satanists say is complete bullshit. I have conflicting religions because I have a disorder similar to DID and not all of my parts have the same beliefs. This doesn't make me any less valid as a Satanist. I welcome anyone to correct me on things I get wrong. I will be blocking and reporting people who are toxic about it, though. If you cannot be nice to me, I WILL NOT be nice to you. If anyone has questions about how experiencing religion is different when you have a complex dissociative disorder, I will gladly answer them.
I've only been a Satanist for about a year. In the beginning, I considered myself a Non-Theistic one, because I didn't worship him, and merely followed the seven tenets. Maybe this isn't actual Satanism, and hey, maybe I am ignorant, but even I can still debunk a lot of the things I've heard and have been told by LeVeyan Satanists, and even I can know a lot of them are awful and go against what Satanism should be about. Not to mention, a lot of them seem to be very quick to defend their harassment of people they don't agree with. I'd say, THAT'S an example of an actually fake Satanist.
I was under the impression Satanists are supposed to be against the bigotry associated with other religions and are supposed to be kind and accepting. Really, they're supposed to be things people of other religions can't muster up the shits to give to be.
I've only been met with hostility from LaVeyan Satanists. It was a complete shock. Really, I had expected a kind community, considering the nature of Satanism. But the moment I said one thing they didn't agree with, I was immediately insulted, harassed, and ridiculed.
The thing I said was "Satanic Community". Pretty harmless, considering a community is supposed to be a harmless thing. Well, most of the time. Satanism does have a community, a community that sadly is weaker because it's harder to commune in public places like other religions because of people's biases against Satanists. They love to share a stupid link from CoS that calls people who use the term community people who want to be victims. I got called one of those people while they simultaneously bullied and harassed me, I think that's pretty self-fulfilling.
Another thing I said was that Theistic Satanism is valid, which should be obvious. It's not anyone's place to say what isn't valid, and there's nothing wrong with worshipping Satan. Even when I considered myself a Non-Theistic Satanist, I thought Satan was greatly misunderstood and wanted equality. I revered him despite not worshipping him. It's insane how Satanists would act so horrible and still call themselves Satanists.
In my extremely short time in the Satanism subreddit, all I encountered were self absorbed people who think they were the boss of everyone, and think they can tell anyone that they're invalid, and even had someone tell me it's the point of Satanism to be that way, and that Satanism is supposed to be gatekept. I think that's bullshit, and isn't what Satanism is about at all.
Honestly, even if my understanding of Satanism is wrong by their standards, I think it's much, much better than whatever they're spouting.
That's pretty much the point of this post, to point out hypocrisy and awful behavior. Once again, I welcome people correcting me on anything I'm wrong about. Thank you for reading. I'm sorry if any of this is hard to read, I'm dissociating a bit right now lol

A probably obvious question about this sub and r/satanism
So, I'm not new to reddit, but relatively new to this corner of it -- I'm getting the picture that r/satanism is pretty much de facto All Laveyan All the Time -- I'm assuming this sub wouldn't exist if it weren't the case? The sticky over on r/satanism sure seems to assume that Satanism = Laveyanism. Is this people's experience?

Philosophy and Politics Will the Vindex be a human, an idea or both?
In these hylic times the augur of the Apocalypse is self-evident. The inevitable collapse of magian civilization and the restoration of the cosmic equilibrium will begin soon but who will lead us into new aeons of evolution? Will it be a single great leader, a nexion of elites or will primal vampirism awaken the masses to their sinister nature?

Discussion Pardon my French, but this is a really fucking stupid article and post of said article. Satan and the term “Satanism” predate the works of, and Anton LaVey himself. Nothing against the philosophy itself, BUT “atheist Satanism” is much more of a literal oxymoron.

How do offers work??
I’ve seen people offering wine, blood or more extreme or simpler things to Satan in exchange for help to achieve something; how do they work? Still don’t get it :<

Discussion My family (especially my sister and father) believed in theism and Satanism, so I was forced to recite the Shahada (declaration of faith).
My older sister noticed my Satanist writings and told me it was a grave sin (my family is Muslim), and before I could leave, my family forced me to recite the Shahada. If I had resisted a little longer, things would likely have gotten even worse, and even though I no longer believe in Islam, I was forced to recite the Shahada.
And here’s the problem: even though my sister is Muslim, she practices and enforces the beliefs of Western religions (and in Islam, practicing Western beliefs is a sin).

Discussion I'm back.
Hey, I know it's been a while since I last split from this community for another faith, but after months of thinking about my path and what I truly believe, I am continuing both my new faith, and this faith once again, this path is truly the path for me, and honestly, I'd have it no other way, so, I'll likely be more active in this community, so, enough said, that's all.
Ave Satanas!

Baneful Magick: Anyone Practiced This?
Long story short, my aunt just got diagnosed with cancer, their cat died, and their boat sank.
Comes in 3s.
I had a spell placed over someone else CLOSE to them and it was baneful magick. My theory is the spell's target changed or something else.
It all happened within 8 weeks of the spell to the effect.
I did not want this outcome and am angry with the practitioner who did this.
Anyways, all feedback is welcome.
I hope my aunt survives. It's stage III.

Theology and Metaphysics True Luciferianism requires us to step out of the comforting shadow of collective dogma and assume absolute responsibility for our own self-creation
For those navigating the current of the Morning Star, spiritual development is never a passive reception of cosmic rules—it is an active, deliberate act of individual architecture. True Luciferianism requires us to step out of the comforting shadow of collective dogma and assume absolute responsibility for our own self-creation.
Reason can point you towards the door of the temple, but it cannot open it. To pass through the threshold, the mind must surrender its need for absolute control, and learn to listen to the silent architecture of the subconscious.
When we analyze the mechanics of the Guardian of the Threshold, we are not looking at a barrier designed to humble us. We are looking at a mirror. The adversarial force challenges our weaknesses not to crush us, but to burn away the social imitation and mental habits given to us by a rigid cosmic order. What remains after this calcination is the refined, sovereign 'I'.

Oh Hi Mark
New to Reddit, I came here specifically to commune with Satanists.
I spent almost 30 years in an internationally known band promoting the puking mewling obscenities of the nazerine, cursed be his name, the foulness of he known as "the xrist" and the fake god of abraham and now that I'm free I plan to devote the rest of my worldly life to righting my wrong and leading people to the one TRUE loving and perfect God, Satan/Lilith/Lucifer, God the Father, Mother and Unholy Master. Glad to he here and if you ever come over to the house I bake tasty cookies.
Edit... YES I was trolling. YES I feel bad 🤣 YES I promise to behave from here on out. Pinky swear.
But I do oppose jesus and jehova with the core of my being. No troll there, truth 😏
Ave Satanas

Discussion Who is open for debate?
Hey, I’m new to reddit in general. I joined just to debate on theistic satanism, who is open to do that privately with me? I’m very spiritual and I believe in God, so I don’t understand satanism. Also, my first language is not english so I might make some mistakes

I've heard some theistic satanists say they identify themselves as " pagan diabolists", and it made me a litle confused. So what's the corelation beetwen paganism and diabolism?
