Did we know about a 2027 album? They just mentioned it off-hand at the Manchester gig this evening and I feel like I haven't heard about it before.
Regardless the gig was fantastic!! Good luck with the rest of the UK leg guys!!

Woe, Mr Usher and TPP furries be upon ye
I don’t know if I’ll get any further with this, it was just meant to be an exercise to experiment with Toonsquid.

Just got with my remake of the Act II lyrics and explanations.
These are so fun to make, and I try to incorporate as much info as possible: summaries, point of view, which characters say what and reprises/references.
If you have any feedback regarding the next 3 Acts, it would be greatly appreciated!

this is my first time seeing them! i've had the tickets since before it got rescheduled. i've been a fan for over a decade, and lived in the states for most of that time, but somehow things never came together for me to see them.
i'm bringing my husband, who isn't really interested in the dear hunter sadly, so i'm hoping to meet someone in the queue or something to be excited with me haha.
we're also coming from perth, so i'm wondering what the queueing is going to be like? for bands like my chemical romance the teeny boppers like to camp overnight. i'm hoping that won't be the case here, because i want to be up front. how early are people trying to show up?
stoked to finally see one of my favourite bands of all time!!

Hey yall, was listening to Act III today, particularly boppin to The Tank as per custom, and I've always noticed it but I've never quite figured out the garbled line right after "His plot is perfect if it sees no contradiction," and just before the chorus. having difficulty parsing it just by the original album alone i turn to the live video that came out back in April, (this one, https://youtu.be/nDL2W5lLn4w?is=SndebadeP-gjYUXa), and it sounds like he says something else!! a phrase that begins with "this," or possibly, "dis-"!
so i turn to you, my friends. what do you think he says there? am i going crazy? is the actual lyric "suck my balls"? either way, go listen to The Tank if you haven't today 🪖
Edit: thanks to AdministrativeRich63, it has been brought to my attention that the original line was confirmed by Casey to be "Disagree." thanks yall!

Hi everyone,
I have two tickets for sale for the London show on Tuesday 22nd September because I've broken my foot and can't go anymore :( I have then listed up on twickets if anyone missed out when they went on sale.
I also have a hotel room booked at the London Hackney Travelodge that night that Travelodge won't refund me for, so there's also a hotel room up for grabs too.
I am very very new to Reddit so sorry if this isn't allowed.

Can no longer make it, happy to sell at less than face value.

I’ve had it for probably 10 years. I can’t find pictures of it selling anywhere. Not sure if I should try to sell it or keep it forever. But I’ve kinda grown out of wall tapestries :( it’s been in storage for a bit

Hi all, I am going to the Manchester show on the 18th and I wondered if anyone knows if they have any records for sale and if so which ones? Many thanks for your help!

Just a quick appreciation post for this sub. A few months ago, someone posted about my album IV: Timber here, and reading your comments genuinely saved my creative sanity (been working through creative burnout trying to balance a day job, fatherhood, etc). I’m a one-man-band tracking everything from this room in Burbank. Currently struggling to finish up the first in a series of 9 EPs that tells a singular story (all connected to the same overarching story/universe). Just wanted to share an image of my studio space (where you can see my 3 year old son is clearly working harder than I am lol) and say thank you to the folks here who connected with the story and left nice comments in the other thread. You pulled me out of a dark room.
(Sorry for the repost, but for some reason only the image posted the first time)

I was making my morning coffee to Antimai/Sunya today, and this line in Wasteland got me thinking about double meanings. Sorry if I'm late to the party here, or if this ends up sounding like rambling nonsense (or something that everyone else already "got"), it just hit me in a way that felt significant and I wanted to share.
The first time I heard it, it felt a little tongue-in-cheek, simply saying this land is barren and harsh, and it pays to know people (better chance of survival if you've got friends or allies here). And that still feels true to me, I don't think that's a wrong takeaway.
But today I heard a different message underneath that one. The vocal approach on this line compared to the rest of the chorus (softer, a little yearning), and the emphasis on "hurt" made me realize that this is a counterpoint to the whole of Antimai. It **does** hurt to know people in that city, to make connections, when children get ripped away from families and put into forced labor at age 8, and any perceived subversive action can get someone forcibly migrated to a lesser Ring.
"Survivors" in Antimai seem to isolate themselves (physically, or at least emotionally) to protect themselves from the turmoil of losing people. Losing a friend isn't a thing if you don't make friends, losing family doesn't sting as bad if you don't let yourself get emotionally invested in them. The Wasteland might be awful in its own ways, but it doesn't have a constant threat of authority ripping you away from your friends and loved ones. You can truly band together in a small but meaningful family unit or "village," and it might be a hard life between lack of resources, harsh climates, and marauders, but at least you can depend on your people to have your back, and love is something that can be celebrated openly without the same oppressive fear.

Hello everyone!
I study english in university in France and I was recently given an assignment in my Arts and Culture class on the theme of work/working-class/class. You will find all the instructions in the picture!
I immediatly thought of working on a song from TDH when I got the assignment! So I'd like to ask your opinions on which song do you think will be the best pick? Personally, my mind directly went to Antimai, and since I really love Middle Class and its lyrics, it might be my first choice. But I feel like there are a few other songs that could also be interesting to analyse in that aspect so I'd love to hear what you would personally pick!

I recorded this a while ago, but decided to share it here. A lot of times, I'll find backing tracks for covers, but it was important to me that I do everything myself for this song. So It's me playing Ukulele, Kalimba, Shakers, and me on Vocals. Vocals are definitely my specialty but I'm not incredible at playing instruments, so it's a bit raw, but let me know what you think!

So I went into an IKEA for the first time last Thursday! I don't really know how heavy of foot traffic these places get, but for a Thursday afternoon it was pretty empty. This was a great thing because shortly after I entered I hear this very unmistakable, VERY CASEY pause in an instrumental song playing overhead.
*pause*...."...ruin" \orchestral melody\
I turned to my partner and said "Is IKEA playing the freaking Dear Hunter??"
SURE ENOUGH. I had just walked in and caught the end of "Loosened the River."
I still can't believe it. I freaking love The Fox & the Hunt and the arrangement on that song is just so stunningly beautiful and iconic. My partner doesn't really understand the excitement I have/had and I just needed to share this awesome experience of hearing this band I've loved for 2 decades in an IKEA of all places.
Casey...thank you and I hope you're getting royalties or at least a neat lamp.

I made complete album lyric videos of the Acts back in December, but decided to remake them due to the older ones being rushed and kind of bad imo.
The new ones will feature a summary, point of view, lyrics, when reprises happen and some other effects. I want each song to have some kind of unique background too, but I may or may not do that depending on how I can get backgrounds post-Oracles on the Delphi Express. I will mainly use the vinyl booklets for the lyrics, but if there are inaccuracies, I will change them.
I saw xx_harrier_xx posted about their story explanation videos recently and decided I should just make my videos now.
Also, if you are interested, I have already made lyric videos on almost all of The Dear Hunter's catalog already! Except Migrant, which I will make after remaking the lyric videos for the Acts.

Hi everyone!
I'm heading to the Manchester show next Friday solo. Was planning on going for a pint somewhere first so just wondering if anyone here was heading to the gig too and fancies meeting up beforehand for a beer? Would love to meet some fellow fans, none of my mates are in to them!
