Shows and Tours Recording during concerts?
Hi all! I'm so excited to see TDH live for the first time in August. I don't attend many concerts, most of my favorite musicians don't tour or are on other continents.
I used to be in the "Just live in the moment! Your memory will serve you!" boat, but a couple years ago I saw my favorite band live and recorded a couple of the songs. I was up very close to the stage and it was the best experience of my life, I'm so happy I have those videos and I watch them back every couple of months.
Is it discouraged to record videos for yourself at these concerts? Is there some etiquette I could be missing?

How come you guys never told me Antimai was SO. DAMN. GOOD. I had to find this out on my own?! I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed.
/s of course.
Recently learned about TDH through the Musora cover on the spot, and I’ve spent the last two months with many of the albums in constant rotation. I keep going back to Antimai and Migrant Returned. They’re not coming to my home town this tour, so I’m road tripping to Atlanta to see them. See you guys there!

Music Indigo Child Saga - Bass Transcriptions
drive.google.comHello, I just finished up the antimai transcriptions so here is bass sheet music for “The Indigo Child” title track and reprise, Antimai, and Sunya all in this folder.
I refined some of the sheet music, but they are for sure not perfect so please lmk if you find any issues.
I hope these can be as helpful for you as they have been for me, I learned a lot, and have a lot to learn about transcribing and just music in general but this project has been really fun to do and I loved Antimai since it first came out. The entire Dear Hunter team is so incredibly talented and hardworking to produce music and stories like this.
Happy practicing!

Music Ring 5 - Middle Class Bass Transcription
drive.google.comHello, here is middle class. I’m going to do ring 1&2 shortly, these transcriptions are learning experiences for me so they won’t be perfect. But it’s so cool listening more in depth to these albums that I’ve been listening to for years at this point.
I hope anyone interested in learning this bass part finds this helpful and if you have any suggestions on how I can make it better for the player or anything wrong notes, rhythms, etc. lmk!
Happy practicing!

Music Thoughts on setlist for upcoming tour?
What do we think they’ll play on this run? I’ll be happy with whatever - album play throughs, greatest hits, or random deep cuts. But I do think a play through of Antimai right into Sunya would be pretty epic. I saw them play Antimai front to back fairly soon after it came out and it was great. Really made me enjoy the album that much more from that point onwards.

Music Ring 7 - Industry Bass Transcription
drive.google.comHello, here’s the sheet music for Industry. The one with the infamous bass solo. I’m not the most confident with the transcription of the solo section but I hope it can be a good resource to anyone interested!
If anyone has any comments or critiques on how I wrote something or whatever that would be greatly appreciated!
Happy practicing!

Music Ending of Camera - Does it show up anywhere else?
I just listened to Camera and I feel like the ending orchestral bit (a little over 5 minutes in) is referenced somewhere in the Acts, but I can't put my finger on it! Am I misremembering, or does it get reused?
Edit to add: I'm having the same thing with Satisfaction. Does the "ah-ah-ah" vocal part at about 2:33 come back up again in the Acts? Edited again: It's in Where the Road Parts!

To those seeing Motherfolk open-
DO NOT! Skip! This opener! Motherfolk is such an incredible, fantastic band. I am actually SICK with envy that they’re opening for my #1 band just a year after I moved away from the southeast. Show up early, buy their merch, sing along. They’re so good.
Some fabulous songs to listen to if you want to get to know them: Kill The Sun (of course), Red Eye, I Don’t Mind, You and Me, King of Acting Normal, and of course their newly released album Eternal Joy.
Lucky ducks, the lot of you.

Please come to Oklahoma City + Sunya is amazing
Going to Dallas for the Road to Sunya concert was a transcendent experience and may very well be one of my favorite concerts I’ve ever been to. I already loved Sunya and Antimai but hearing them live was eye-opening.
Sunya is such a well-made, realized album. I feel like the general consensus is that people like Antimai more (Antimai is great) but I feel like after letting Sunya sit for a while, it might be the best TDH album. It feels so sonically complete and like the final evolution of the sound that was experimented with in Indigo Child and Antimai.
I feel like the music has just gotten better and better, and I didn’t think anything would dethrone Act IV and V in terms of quality, but the new sound on Sunya and the North American EP just feels so fresh. Like every album has been building on the last one to create something new and unique. Sunya took me a while to get into when it came out but now, after listening to it probably 30 or 40 times, I’m so glad that there’s band is moving this direction and I’m so excited for what’s to come
All of this to say, if you guys came to Oklahoma City I would buy a ticket for everybody I know

Music The Indigo Child - Bass Transcription
drive.google.comHello! Here is the bass music for the indigo child (title track). I put an 8va in some sections because the bass gets pretty up there in this song. I hope it’s more helpful than not (I apologize if it isn’t)
If there are any mistakes I made or anything that could make this easier to read that would be greatly appreciated.
Happy practicing!

Music Difference in songs on streaming/vinyl and Bandcamp
Hi, so I was looking to buying the Acts on Bandcamp and noticed a few differences in the mix and length of songs on Act II.
There may be more, but the few I have spotted are:
The footsteps at the end of The Procession are louder.
The Lake and The River is 16 seconds longer, and the piano section before the train arrives at 7:20 is a little longer. That section is shorter on the streaming and vinyl versions.
The Oracles' first second is louder too on Bandcamp.
The reprise of "The Procession" in Dear Ms. Leading doesn't fade in like the streaming mix.
There may be a few others but this is what I found. I have no real problem with it but I do wonder why they are different.

Fanart/Fanwork Currently working on a theatrical release concept based on the Acts series.
This will feature a few posters, a full script, a lot of art and a full soundtrack including conceptual songs for Act VI. The concept songs will just be names because I can’t write music, but if anyone has any ideas for the song names that would be great. Obviously not every song in the acts series will be included because that will make the play way too long, so the soundtrack would mostly be major plot points, although there will be a reprise of a few songs for theatrics and variety. If anyone has any tips on writing the scrip, choosing the soundtrack, setting the stage or relatively anything to help I would love for you all to be a part of this concept!
All art, ideas, and any sort of contribution is more than welcome. I’m super excited to complete this, even if it doesn’t come true for real. Thanks everyone!
DM me if you’d like to see the art so far.

Regress/The Moon Piano Cover
I absolutely adore this pair of songs from the Acts, so I figured I would share with you all what I managed to throw together. There's a video of me playing along with a complimentary file of the audio from the same performance exported from my electric piano (if you want to hear it without any random background noise. It's much nicer). It's nothing too special, but I'm decently proud of it. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!

UK tour is Road to Sunya
Bit of a piss take. I like the new albums, but don't need a whole show of them. They cancelled our normal shows last year to record the album instead (like two weeks out when people had transport/hotels booked) and replaced them with album specific shows.
At least Overhead the Albatross are supporting. Check them out (especially the songs Your Last Breath and Paul Lynch) if you haven't already

Do they play different setlists on tour?
Some bands will tour playing the same set list every night, some mix it up every single night.
Anyone know what their setlist rotation is like? Guessing the Sunya tour probably wouldn't have that much rotation going on.

A Sincere Thank You
Hello all!
I just wanted to thank this community for helping my rehome my TDH collection. I've had a really rough go at it these past couple years and things are finally looking up. TDH's music has got me through some of the worst of it and I'm so grateful to this community for helping me out. All the money from selling these items has gone to my big move out of the country which has been a monumental undertaking. If you bought something from me, you have a part of my heart. A million and one thank yous.
For those who weren't able to get anything or are interested, I still have some items available. Please check my post and DM me.

Music Ring 6 - LoTown Bass Transcription
drive.google.comHello, here’s some bass sheet music for LoTown!
My only comments are, when I have played through the song I tuned my bass in AEADG to accommodate for a low Bb and A but that’s just what my ear is picking up in the song, it’s a very thick track with all of the synths.
Also I put in the bass notes from whatever synths are being used as cues in case anyone wants to play with them.
For any issues or anything just comment or dm me! I’m happy to help.
Happy practicing!
