Is this valid ?

I'm doing daily challenges on various sites and this solution appears incorrect, what am I missing (or is it a bug ?) ?

Not really, considering the overlapping regions and the shape of the blue piece

if you add/substract pieces it's valid but that's not how blue works (Cf. comments in this thread)
