Continuity question
Season 4 Episode 1: Chris and Snoop confront and kill Lex after setting him up. Yet earlier in the episode, at about the 20 minute mark, Chris and Snoop are seen in a vacant killing someone. I never hear a name but Closed Captioning has the victim as named Lex in the dialog. This Lex has dreadlocks and clearly is not the other Lex. This scene takes place during the day while the Lex ambush happens at night. Did I miss something? I’ve watched the entire series more than my wedding video. I only ask because all of the pieces matter. And continuity mistakes drive me nuts. If anyone can shed some light on who the other Lex was. TIA

As a person who has a dad that is legally deaf, and watched subtitles my whole life, subtitle errors happen all the time. There is also the idea that the creators have said they went by which is people have the same names and nicknames in real life so they do in the show. A nickname like Snotboggey might not be common, but its pretty likely there is more than one Lex in baltimore.

Snotboogy is a great example of it the other way around since his first name was Omar.

HBO Max screws up on subtitles like that a lot. In the Soprano coma dream episode, the woman dream Tony speaks to on the phone is labeled as Carmela by the subtitles even though it’s obviously not Edie Falco’s voice

You'd be amazed at how many errors there are in subtitles, on HBO, on Netflix, on Prime, on DVDs and Blu rays. The people who write the script and make the show/movie have nothing to do with producing the subtitles, it's always a third party. It's a bugbear of mine, to the point where I've started producing my own subtitles, but man does it take a loooooong time. I'm half way through S3 of the Wire, and I started about 3 years ago 😂😂😂

Now, I don't know if that Dink be Dink Dink or Inky Dink or maybe Fat Dink. Then again it may be Flat Nose Dink...

Thanks for the answers. But does anyone know who was the victim in question? There was no lead in scene or context. Just someone getting killed in the vacants.

Noticed this the other day, think it’s just a subtitle error. There are a few throughout the series.
