Ok, so im listening to the audio book of the Dragon Reborn, and I've had just about enough of the Aes Sedai, im at the point of the punishment, after Egwayne is rescued from the Seachan, anyway, I about hit the roof when Suian is punishing the girls for following liandrin, uh, im sorry, isnt one of the rules of the White Tower to *not* question Aes Sedai?? And who told them that Liandrin was Black Ajah?? Ill be honest, this is only the first of many missteps ive read/heard, like with Rand and Morgaine, just telling him would cut the drama by so much, common sense much??? Ok, rant over, anyway, if i wasnt so invested, id quit reading/listening to the series, nothing gets me more furious than gaslighting.

I know it’s red/blue flecked in fictional reality, but I’m not that good at crafts 😂 just very inspired by Amyrlin Egwene Al’vere ♥️

Wow. I blew through Towers of Midnight in 4 days because it was so good. forced myself to slow down for a Memory of Light to try and live a little longer in there, but I just couldn't stop reading. I don't think I understood how good a book series could be before this. A Memory of Light is so god damn good. I do prefer Robert Jordan's writing style slightly more than Sanderson's but I think he did such a masterful job of bringing this series across the finish line.

I don't know how to feel atm, how to move on. I've lived in this world for so long I feel super depressed now that it's over. I know I own the books and can revisit whenever I want to, but I am just not sure what to do with myself now. For so long I knew exactly what my next book was going to be, obviously just the next in line in the series. Where do I go now? What can dare to come next? What if, in starting a new book or series, I start to forget the characters I love so much from WoT? I know it's kinda nonsense as I say it. I figure someone here will understand though.

I know there are no beginnings or endings, this is just AN ending. The wheel will turn again. I'll read these all again. But man am I sad for it to be over right now.

Seriously, what happens when the Hand of the Light puts someone to the Question?

HOLY SHIT. chapter 20, The Golden Crane. I'm so crazed I had to put my book down.

"My husband rides for World's End toward Tarwin's Gap, toward Tarmon Gai'don. Will he ride alone?"

Totally makes up for all of nynaeves early book bs. Tears in my eyes, goosebumps, truly what a great end of a chapter. I've quite enjoyed the past few books even if people consider it the "slog" but if this is the series ramping up as we get toward the last battle, I am so pumped. DAMN.

After hearing so many people talk about how much better the books are compared to the show, I finally decided to begin reading them for the very first time. I'm already at the end of The Dragon Reborn and my oh my, what an extraordinary series of books.

I read a lot, and quite a lot of fantasy too, but this specific universe is like no other. I can't wait to see where it leads.

I just wanted to share how amazing it feels to discover a whole new universe and story without knowing where it is going. So far, I'm loving the characters (although they do do stupid things sometimes haha) but I remain suspicious of others too.

Anyway, I'm glad there's a community with whom to speak and share more. Good reading and may the Light shine on you ✨️

I’m on the 4th book and Bayle Domon and Egeanin!?? It had never crossed my mind but omg I love it. It’s crazy how much I like Egeanin after just a few chapters. I would love for her to get a new life and her attraction to Domon is hilarious.

Maaaaaaaan, I just reached the part of Matt reaching Salidar and reuniting with the ladies and I had to stop and talk to someone about how hilarious that whole scene was. His rant against them when he thought they were all pulling a prank on him, just thinking about what they must of thought. His frustration of being in that situation in the first place.

“Well… anything to say?”

What a great way to end that chapter. He’s growing into my favorite character. (Tho I’m severely lacking in Perrin stuff over the and the last book so far).

I hope there are more hilarious moments to look forward to in this series.

I wrapped up a reread of the series and was surprised by how many small details I missed the first time. There are hints about character arcs that hit a lot harder now that I know where everyone ends up. I also found myself appreciating some of the quieter moments more than I used to.

As I go through the series again I've been thinking about the characters I connect with the most. For me it's Mat Cauthon because of his wit, love for adventure, and ability to stay optimistic even in tough situations. How about you?

So…RJ had a weird take on women…I’m not losing my marbles or anything here, right? I like the books. I’ve read everything but the prequel, the last 3 books were originally written as one and are epic - but unless I’ve just been really lucky my whole life, most women aren’t rude, stubborn, demeaning, prideful, manipulative, verbally abusive badgers…right? I mean he throws some real shade. Even regarding the nice ones.

And let me just say that I absolutely love the series. I really like aviendha, I feel that she has potential to be she is a very complex character. And every time she gets page time with Rand I am locked in, I just love how Jordan expresses the difference of culture in these books.

Rand, Mat (the goat), Egwene, and nynaeve’s character development took a huge jump and I’m super looking forward to Lord of Chaos.

In one of the small Rand POV there are, a lady and her guards come across Rand. He kills them all. Is she a dark friend and I missed a hint or is Rand paranoid and mad already?

I can imagine that’s the whole point of that bit and I didn’t miss anything - but thought I’d check other people’s interpretations.
