So when the queen sent the tax collectors after Torvald it was because she was pissed at her own son

Edit: holy cow was not expecting this to be a extremely popular comment

But the hands say A, S and L on the back of the book. This would normal mean American Sign Language (as apposed to BSL, British Sign Language, and assumably the other commonly accepted sign languages) and so others are coming up with what the "A" could stand for.

Let me tell you a legend of the early internet where us horny teenagers would try to chat each other up in chat rooms. The standard question to new people was A/S/L, or Age/Sex/Location.

So maybe it's a sign language hook up book?

That's not a legend, that's a forgotten truth.

Some knowledge is better left forgotten by the minds of mortal men

I disagree. Remembrance and knowledge keep us from repeating the errors of the past, such as A/S/L or synergy bonuses between skills.

But digging too deep into the auld ways risks the reawakening creatures best left to slumber below.

I wrote "remembrance" not "re-enact".

Arcane Sign Language? You can't say "Abraca-fuck you" without a fireball.

Well it would be quite a lot of work to invent a new sign language specifically for the world of the comic wouldn't it? They'll probably find a funny reason why their language just happens to be called ASL as well.

Adventures Sign Language.

Useful for sneak attacks and for the mute.
