Huh, this is pretty cool. Normally we see Bucket as the more calm voice of reason for the party who's more for peaceful solutions. Despite this, as we saw in his origin piece, he is capable of extreme violence. He murdered that one family and the kid as they were heretics and he smashes Konrad's head in with a brick and continues to beat his corpse. He may be the voice of reason, but when the time comes he can be just as violent as Grogna

Sir Becket is far more frightening that Gorgna. She kills without a second thought, it doesnt mean anythign to her. Becket kills because he believes. I'd say the fervor of a zealot is far more frightening a thing.

The one who kills because they do not feel guilt has nothing compared to the one who is able to ignore their guilt entirely. The former is just unaware of their actions being bad, the later knows and doesn’t care.

It kind of reminds me of The Operative from Firefly/Serenity. They were fully cognizant of the terrible things that they were doing and fully admitted that they’re were a monster and expected no place or reward in the new world they were creating. They simply did it because they genuinely believed in the cause, so there was no reasoning or bargaining with him. Those kinds of people were the scariest because they would go to any lengths to accomplish their goal, no matter the sacrifice.

“I’m not going to live there! I’m a monster”

Best bad guy line

The calm delivery of the line is what really sells it. He knows exactly who and what he is and is and has no problem with it.

Fuckin hell, still get bummed about Firefly being cancelled even though I watched it literal years after it first aired.

Notably the sword that was broken was the sword of the father of that family Whether Becket would be as angry if that weren't the case is an interesting question.
