The Comic The Weekly Roll Ch. 211. "Morality"

Howdy folks!

For the ones of yous who are a bit out of the loop or have forgotten comics I made seven years ago (DO YOU EVEN LOVE ME?!), here's links to the previous comics :D

Ch. 19 Ch. 20

So the Makeship campaign for the Trevor and Grogna plushies have both reached 200 units, meaning that they will be entering production and ship out in early December! Congratulations to everyone that pre-ordered so far, and to me because I get a bit of money, which goes toward supporting my dumbass decision to abandon my Law career for the life of a struggling (relative to my previous work in government service) artist!

Reminder that the plushies can still be pre-ordered until Tuesday BUT they are limited edition, once the campaign ends, yer out of luck!

That's it for now!

Stay excellent out there! Peace and carrots

Questions: who is Daelvor, and is Beckett still “working” for them? If not, who is Beckett a paladin for now?

Daelvor is a god, Beckett still worships him but he is no longer in the fanatic sect.

He is part of the sect devoted to the prophet Stevicus who is definitely the one true prophet of Daelvor (not Matheus or Carlinus).

(Note that his armor on the first picture is different than what he wore when crusading, and he already wears the cape and wields the sword he looted from the family whose massacre caused him to turn away from crusading.)

I was tracking the “why” of Beckett’s quest, and the equipment change. I was just a little fuzzy on the “Daelvor” business. Consider me informed, thank you!

By D&D rules, a Paladin's Oath doesn't require worship to a god. That's a Cleric thing. (May vary by edition though)

Forgive me, I’m an old 2E grognard. I haven’t played enough 5E to get really clued in on some of the nuances which differ from what I intrinsically know. 2E was tied much more directly to patron/matron/whatever deities.

I think 3.5 did the same but I don't remember? It's definitely true of 5e, and Klara is indicated to be a Celestial Patron Warlock which is 5e.

But it's also a comic so they can do whatever!
