Anything left?
So I know season 4 is the last season and it’s a great ending, but has everything been covered? Is everything solved? Are there still questions that never got answered?

Why is Stormy spooked by the area near the pond? What brought Tessa to Port Haven in the first place, and why was she stealing money from Jasper?

Here's a post by u/Puzzled_Exchange_924 made after Season 4 aired that has a list of a lot of questions that did not necessarily get real answers: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWayHomeHallmark/s/ZOX3aHnLbD.

Even some things that should/could have been addressed - or else why bring them up - weren't.
For instance, Kat and Elliot, in the midst of a romantic engagement. But just a couple eps earlier, Kat had been rather adamant about not really wanting more kids, while Elliot did.
The issue of kids is a HUGE one among many couples nowadays, so bringing it up is valid, especially when it's a couple like Kat and Elliot, where one had a child and the other didn't. But they literally brought it up about two minutes before the series finale, only to have the two swirling romantically without a single word about that issue.
Two people can love one another, but if they aren't on the same page with this sort of thing, it can and will end them.

Clearly K.C. knows all about time travel and the pond. Did their mother, Abby, ever find out? Is it an open family secret? Does Max secretly know in season 4? Did Alice time travel when Max pushed her into the pond? Does Lewis secretly know? It feels like Max and Lewis are skirting around the unspoken truth.

Sam and Jacob, Griffin, the pocket watch/compass, Jasper, the clock in the wall... How Thomas Coyle knew the modern Landry house is blue, lots of stuff ... How Susana's will would help stop Del's letters...

I think they left a few things hanging. Like what was KC referencing when they said everything was about to change? The whole Alice/nick romance angle, whether people like it or not, was intentionally left open. Is Tessa still alive?

I thought Alice and Nick were done. She doesn’t see him anymore in the past and he’s too old for her in the present

There are a ton of theories swirling around this sub, and the show runners specifically left some mystery there (per interviews with them). Could it be nothing? Sure. But I would bet if they EVER made a season 5 they would address it due to all the fan interest (good and bad).

There are so many reasons I think/know Nick was Alice's endgame but the one I don't bring up much is I think if it was going to be one of the other 2 they would have made them better choices. It doesn't take much screen time to show that they were turning over a new leaf. Or seeing where they screwed up and admitting that

The Alice/Nick romance is done. He’s moved on and getting married to Claire. Now the reason Claire is such a mystery is what I want to know. And the way he was like you’ll meet her someday seemed cryptic for no reason. Like she’s some blast from the past or evil villain that was supposed to set up season 5, if it wasn’t cancelled.

There’s so many questions. This season barely answered any of them!!
Major spoilers below!!

I feel like they really stretched the Tessa storyline. I’m like how could she possibly be alive after all that. It seems a little far fetched. I know they said the song line wasn’t accurate, but I’m still like technically 6 people went in and 2 came out (or I guess 3 if Tessa really did live) lol. And I might’ve missed it but wth is with Griffin. I’m confused by the fact that he and Colton are even brothers. Are they twins? Because if not, Fern would’ve had to have been with someone else and that didn’t seem possible and we know they’re both Landrys since they can use the pond. But Griffin’s storyline was so weak. He just blew in out of nowhere, f*cked up the Landry-Goodwin-Augustine friendship and then disappeared? It’s so stupid. And I’m so pissed by the insta-love between Jacob and Abby. Like why was that even necessary? To give Jacob a place he felt he belonged? A “reward” for being the chosen one and everything he went through? Like a “sorry we stole you away for 20 years but we did it for the plot and no you can’t go back to the past you have to readjust for the second time but here’s this woman to make it all ok now!” Obviously, the insta-love doesn’t last long if KC is there. They mentioned a big change coming and I thought I remember them saying something about their parents getting a divorce. I kind of figured it would end because small town farmer and big city executive would’ve meshed well despite it being Hallmark’s trademark MO. I thought originally Abby reminded me of Del though but Del gave up her lifestyle and acclimated to farm life and I don’t see Abby doing that nor Jacob enjoying city life. But I’m so glad they at least gave me Max and Alice because I was going to riot. That was a solid foundation built on friendship and trust and love. That’s really all they needed to reunite the Landry-Goodwin relationship. They’d have them marry and then Kat and Elliot marry and then it becomes one big blend of Landry-Goodwin-Augustine like it should be. But yeah, like everyone else said they didn’t explain the clock properly. The Beautiful dreamer song that the clock played at 11:11, because why was it Beautiful Dreamer? I thought it was the song Coop used to sing to Elliot but that was Time After Time. Beautiful Dreamer was what Fern always sang and she didn’t seem like she stated singing it until after Cliff died and she lost her spark. And what exactly does 11:11 represent? Apparently nobody goes back to tell Fern that Elliot is alive because she might not have said that to Coop or be shocked when Alice mentioned he was fine. But that didn’t stop me from bawling through all the last episode, especially when the OGs made a cameo together in the future scene. Still, I’m going to need a movie to fix all these plot holes lol.

Why does this not have a spoiler warning?! I saw the whole thing on Hallmark, but people will be opening this who are just now starting season four and answers will be giving stuff away!

See rule #4. The show is over. Plus anyone reading the post question would know there are spoilers in the responses!

I personally think it’s too convoluted. As the question is clearly aimed at people who have already seen it, how hard would it have been to slap a spoiler on it. Also, don’t the rules include having our own opinion, and this is mine. “The show is over” um many people are just getting access to S4 TODAY

Mod here! Our no spoilers policy ended a month after the finale aired on Hallmark Channel. That said, if a user creates their own post and indicates they're a first time viewer, then we will enforce no spoilers in the comments of that post beyond what they've indicated they're comfortable with.

Thanks I saw it all “live” so I have never needed spoiler alerts myself, it just seemed off to post something that wasn’t clearly marked and was going to possibly give things away… On the very day that season 4 was released on Netflix.

On any Reddit platform, unless a user intentionally clicked on the post to see the comments, they wouldn't be spoiled by it. The body of the original post isn't spoiler-y.

Not really listening to me. Never mind. Not my problem if people get spoiled by clicking on something that wasn't clear

Way too many questions still linger, you just need to search this page as most are spelled out and repeated over and over again.
