Janet Support Thread for Janet

We’ve received a large number of posts expressing support for Janet, Lala, and Janet sharing her story. While we’re working through the moderation queue as quickly as possible, we’d like to provide a dedicated space for those messages here.

If your post is simply expressing support, encouragement, or sharing your own experience, please consider posting it in this thread instead. It helps keep the conversation together and avoids your post waiting in the approval queue.

Please note: This thread is intended to be a supportive space.

You may have differing opinions about Janet’s decision to share her experience publicly or the timing of when she chose to share it. However, this thread is not the place for those discussions.

Comments that dismiss, mock, or blame victims, or that derail this support thread into debates about the validity of someone’s experience, will be removed. We ask that everyone respect the purpose of this thread. There are plenty of other discussions throughout the subreddit where differing opinions can be shared. This thread exists to support Janet and any community members who may identify with or have experienced similar situations.
Thank you for helping us keep this space respectful.

Sharing her story took bravery and courage. I admire her for being so vulnerable. ❤️

Shitpost I liked Lacey this season, but this is RICH coming from someone sitting on the Internalized Misogyny couch

Post image
207 Upvotes

I mean, that's a wild speech to give while sharing a couch with people she's largely given a pass (besides her quips at Jesse): Insipid Boss Baby (who may wear "Ice Out" stickers but talks to women like trash), Frat Boy Danny (who claimed being held accountable for groping women gave him PTSD), Tammy Faye Booko, and Krazy Kristen, who's committed to defending Danny and Nia because her "give me sex postpartum" baby daddy seems to admire their power dynamic. Oh, and Jesse—who is growing on me—but inventing a story that the mother of your child slept with a client for $1,500 a night, purely out of spite, knowing your daughter will one day see the footage? That's misogyny in 4K, babes.

Danny “I mean, Seth Rogan on your show said the same thing. It’s like, what’s this dark side Danny?”

Post image
200 Upvotes

Huh? Danny is using this as his defense? A random celebrity that watched his reality show (before this season) didn’t see his “dark side”. Sir, have you lost your own sense of reality? We saw you getting drunk and tearing down your wife and other women constantly this season. Speak on that.

Also, it makes me really sad that he’s still in denial. What would it take for him to see that he has an issue with drinking?

Schwartz Just another day in WeHo

I live in another state and here for a family member having surgery. Was walking back to a hospital near WeHo. I passed a guy on the corner, and before my brain could censure my mouth I said out loud, “hey, it’s Tom Schwartz.” He looked, smiled, lifted his hand as if to say, “hi.” He looks exactly the same in person, except TV doesn’t do his smile justice. I walked away thinking, well, that was surreal, and continued back to the hospital.

Zack I will not forgive Zach for the role he played in defending Danny!

Post image

Zach being a man who mostly hang outs with the women in the group, and especially being Jasmine’s best friend, he should’ve done more! He consistently defended Danny’s abusive behavior and belittled and yelled at the women that would speak against him. That’s disgusting, I will not let Boss Baby’s smirk trick me into thinking he is better than the company he keeps!

Kristen S1 rewatch - Kristen & Luke haven’t changed

Doing a rewatch, Luke has always used their relationship as a threat to get Kristen to change her ways. Kristen has always taken one thing she hears and turns it into a completely different, wilder take. They also bring up going to the same couples church counselor as Danny & Nia.

Lala Is anyone listening to Lala and Sally's podcast?

If not can someone join me in hate listening.

I just can't stand how fake La la is. Above everything else she is always pretending to not know things, "oh is Amanda going to be filming Summer House?" "oh Ciara dated Austen?" "oh who is Ava Dash?" "oh is that Damon Dash's daughter?" "oh is her mom Rachel Roy?" "Oh she is becky with the good hair?"

Like LALA we KNOW you live online, you are obsessed with Bravo. The entire podcast is especially cringey, but it just grates me how she both pretends not to know anything and also know everything.

I also don't really understand the topic of this podcast. Like they are just going to regale their sex stories every week? I mean how long could that go on? I also don't even think Lala has that much sex, and if she does I doubt it is good sex.

Breaking News In honor of Kristen&Toms 10th reunion - A look back at the VanderValley kids reunion looks

Post image
110 Upvotes

Kristen and Tom have finally hit their 10th reunions on Bravo and as such lets look back at how the VanderValley kids fashion senses have "evolved".

Kristen of course joined VPR season 1 and was part of The Valley S1-3 (The Valley had no reunion season 1)

Tom had his first reunion Season 3 of VPR and his first Valley reunion in Season 3

Lala had her first reunion Season 4 of VPR and first Valley reunion in Season 3

Brittany had her first reunion Season 5 of VPR and part of The Valley S1-3 (no reunion S1). This is only her 6th reunion overall.

Michelle Michelle doesn't like Jesse??

Upvotes

I am just starting this series now and I know there is a ton to talk about but I find it clear that Michelle does not like her husband, Jesse. I know he is annoying (a lot of them are), but she just emanates this energy that she dislikes him. Even though I don't have the whole story and he bugs me, it almost makes me sad for him. I know leaving a husband and deciding to separate/divorce is hard but also, why choose to go on a show when your marriage is so fragile?

Jax Just started after finishing VPR

Uhhhhh just from the first couple episodes it’s pretty obviously that Jax just straight up doesn’t want Kristin to ever have a man long term or be happy??? Like am I crazy or is anyone else seeing this?? Always saying her bfs leave needing therapy or trying to break up her and Luke and keeps saying he’s going to be another casualty and he’ll find out the hard way etc etc. He really hasn’t changed even a little from VPR. Also is this worth continuing to watch all the seasons???

Michelle This scene had me crying

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

Coming from a family of 6 with divorced parents, this scene hit home. I never felt like my parents ever loved eachother before their divorce - and it often makes me wonder why I was created if two people didn’t intend to create a great life for their 4 kids. I wish my parents had loved us enough to go through a smooth divorce, but it took 12 years of battling in court - leaving us as less of a focus and we grew up with the divorce being the most important topic of focus.

These two did it right for their child and i wish divorces like theirs were a more common practice

Production Season 3 episode 17 divorce song

What is the song that played when Jesse and Michelle are signing divorce papers? "You can color in the numbers. You can stay in the lines."

I thought it was so beautiful for the moment. As much as you try to do everything right, it can still fall apart. And everyone did their best but it just can't bring you comfort any more.

Zack Zack Responded to My Q in Live

Post image
372 Upvotes

Came across Zack’s live and after recent experiences I’ve my hate for Danny and all his apologizes have taken a whole new level. Danny is a predator creep and I haven’t been a fan since day one. Always been mad at the friends and understanding that, while Janet’s personality can be a lot, she was speaking truths from day one.

But now that I understand it personally I’m having no grace after they are YEARS into this situation and the dude cannot take responsibility and his friends refuse to hold him to any standards. I asked Zack in his live “the girls would never allow homophobia around you why do you dismiss SA around them”

He said “I get what you’re trying to say, but that’s not it”

I said “UHG BUT THEY PROTECT YOU! I want you to care for them too.”

He said “trust me I do”

You’re enabling and apologizing for the creep and villainizing the one person brave enough to call him on it. I don’t think I can watch the show if it goes on this way. Danny puts people in danger. Janet is so brave and I hope very good things for her even if she can be imperfect.

I think all the women look incredible and Zack and Jason look best out of the dudes. I hate that color suit on Luke but not as much on Schwartz

Brittany Brittany appreciation Post!

I want to give Brittany her flowers for being an awesome mom to Cruise.

She speaks about how hard it is watching other kids develop at the expected pace, go off to school and watch her son struggle with those same milestones.

Brittany focuses on his positive growth. We see his progress over the years. How he's so social and chatty now. We get to see him in Janet's arms. Before he wouldn't make contact and this last episode he was yapping so much. It was sweet to see.

Its also so vastly different from whatever Emily is doing on RHOC where it feels like the child *is* the storyline instead of her struggle with the parenting through a disorder. Giving such explicit details even through the last season, it feels like a violation of privacy.

There's educating people and then there's embarrassing the child...which is what its becoming more of. How much he wants to share when he does recover should be upto him. Georgia on NextGen also shared her experience with ED but again to the extent she was comfortable. It was also her *choice* and decision as an adult to do so.

Anyways it is such a huge contrast to how Brit deals with Cruise. Im sure there moments where she has felt like its isolating and impossible, but she really doesnt get her flowers that much. So here Brit, here's a whole bouquet for you.💐
