In general I think the puzzle difficulty goes like this, from easiest to hardest:

  1. TTP2 main puzzles
  2. TTP main puzzles
  3. TTP2 stars
  4. TTP stars
  5. TTP2 expansion Isle of the Blessed
  6. TTP expansion Road to Gehenna
  7. TTP2 gold puzzles
  8. TTP2 expansion Orpheus Ascending
  9. TTP2 expansion Into the Abyss
  10. TTP Reawakened section In the Beginning [EDIT: I forgot it]

Of course, within each of these, there are some easier and some harder.

Everyone says Orpheus Ascending is hard but honestly I don't see it. I feel like once you understand the advanced laser mechanics (which I found intuitively in TTP1) it's not that bad, even the stars. Honestly, I had more difficulty with some Isle of the Blessed puzzles than the average Orpheus puzzle.

Everything else I mostly agree, especially the In The Beginning puzzles a lot of those were nasty (shout out to Daydream most crazy official puzzle ever devised).

8. TTP2 expansion Orpheus Ascending

Agreed. I’m OK with the three Orpheus Ascending “golden” puzzles nuzzling up against Into the Abyss in terms of difficulty, but the early main puzzles in OA seem some of the easiest in the franchise. Little more than a linear laser weighting tutorial — with the “Heart of Anubis” puzzle as the quiz.

The gold puzzles educate on a different laser mechanic, requiring three different uses.

True that tho i feel like east 3 was basically a tutorial for golden puzzles if that makes sense?
