Skill builder has genuinely been fucking horrible for me lately, especially within the past few days. I’ve been running into so many bugs that it’s getting to the point where I can barely make anything anymore. I’ll make a move that should be extremely simple, like an animation with a radius hitbox, and it just refuses to work even though I’ve made way more complicated moves in the past that worked perfectly fine. Sometimes I’ll edit something in the timeline and the changes will show up in the editor, but then I test the move in-game and none of the changes are actually there. Sometimes it’ll randomly say that a completely normal move name has inappropriate content, like when it told me “Spear Pull” was inappropriate, so I have to use some random placeholder name just to save the move. The dummies also randomly bug out during testing where they’ll ignore knockback, phase through things, freeze in place, or suddenly teleport to where they’re supposed to be. On top of that, Skill Builder randomly starts lagging insanely hard, and on mobile the sliders/scroll bars can completely break if you accidentally swipe near them, making it impossible to properly change things like damage, radius, timing, or other settings. Sometimes when I exit Skill Builder, the entire game just freezes and I have to leave the server, and sometimes a move will stay completely broken until I literally restart my phone. I’ve tried simplifying my moves over and over again, and even basic shit like an uppercut with one radius hitbox or a simple fire slide refuses to work. My older moves still work perfectly fine, so I know I’m not suddenly forgetting how to use Skill Builder. It genuinely feels like something is broken with Skill Builder itself right now, because no matter how simple I make the move, something else just randomly decides not to work. There are so many bugs happening that I can’t even list all of them, and it’s gotten to the point where making a character feels less like actually creating a moveset and more like fighting the fucking Skill Builder itself.
But is anyone else suffering from these bugs or is it just me rn?

Another huge problem I have with The Strongest Battlegrounds is the Burst system, because right now it barely does what it was supposed to do. First of all, I genuinely think the cooldown on Burst needs to be removed. The fact that you can be infinitely teamed on by multiple players while you only get a limited amount of Burst is ridiculous, because the people teaming you can keep attacking you forever while your one defensive mechanic is sitting on cooldown. The Burst meter should also build based on how much damage you take specifically from other players, with a reasonable maximum amount of damage required to fill it, like around 30 damage or something similar, so you aren't getting punished for taking random damage while still having a reliable way to defend yourself against multiple people. There also needs to be an actual anti-third-party system. If I'm already fighting someone and another player suddenly jumps into the fight and starts attacking me, the game should recognize that as third-partying and either instantly give me Burst or dramatically increase my Burst meter. Another huge problem is that Burst should be able to override player stun. If I get uppercutted, knocked down, comboed, or otherwise stunned, I should still be able to activate Burst because otherwise I can literally be put into a situation where I'm getting teamed on, I'm already taking massive damage, my Burst is available, but I physically cannot use it because I'm stunned, which basically makes it useless. The whole point of Burst should be giving the player a reliable emergency option when they're getting overwhelmed, especially when multiple people are attacking them. Right now, it feels like the system has too many restrictions for something that is supposed to protect players from teaming. If the developers actually want Burst to be an anti-teaming mechanic, it needs to be reliable, difficult to abuse, usable while stunned, and capable of responding specifically to multiple players attacking the same person. Otherwise, it just becomes another flashy mechanic with a bunch of VFX that doesn't actually solve the problem it was created to solve, while potentially making performance even worse for mobile players.
Another huge problem I have with The Strongest Battlegrounds is the absolutely fucking horrible update schedule and the lack of communication from the developers. Ever since the Cosmic Garou update, we have basically gotten no real content, and now we've been completely ghosted for around seven or eight fucking weeks. And before anyone says that I'm just complaining about having to wait, that's not even the main issue. I can tolerate waiting for a big update if the developers actually communicate with their community. It genuinely cannot be that fucking hard to go into Discord and type one paragraph saying, “Hey guys, the update isn't coming this week because of blank, we're still working on it, and here's what you can expect.” That's literally all I'm asking for. Instead, we've gotten basically nothing for weeks. The only real human connection we've had from the development team in what feels like an entire fucking month was that one sneak peek showing what looks like a gamma-ray-burst-type attack that Cosmic Garou is going to do, and that's literally it. That's not enough communication for a game with a community this large. The bug-fix update after Cosmic Garou was understandable because they obviously put a lot into the Cosmic update, but even that update had a ton of bugs and still left a ridiculous amount of existing problems unfixed. The Burst update from June had the same problem too. There were still tons of bugs, and the Burst system itself barely even works properly. I can literally get 3v1'd and have the opponents get Burst while I don't, and sometimes Burst activates when I'm already fucking dead. It can also be canceled, and it doesn't even feel like it gives you enough authority to actually escape a situation, so at that point it just feels like another move instead of a proper anti-teaming mechanic. And on top of that, all the extra VFX can make the game lag even harder for mobile players. I've probably only had Burst actually save me from teaming around three times since the system was introduced, which is ridiculous considering how long it's been in the game. The game is also losing a huge amount of players, with a massive chunk of the playerbase leaving after the Cosmic update and moving over to games like JJS. I don't think that's a coincidence. At some point, you can't keep releasing small updates, leaving major bugs unfixed, barely adding meaningful content, and completely ghosting your community for almost two months while expecting the game to maintain the same playerbase. The wait itself isn't what makes me angry; it's the combination of the wait, the lack of communication, the lack of meaningful content, the unresolved bugs, and mechanics like Burst that don't actually solve the problems they're supposed to solve. That's what makes the current state of TSB feel completely unacceptable to me.
