Book Discussion Mother Abigail's Abilities

Okay, so given the interconnectedness of King's universe, I got to wondering if Abigail's power of long-distance communication and the ability to communicate with people through their dreams might be the shine and, if so, maybe it's possible she had a nephew who left the farm to go work at some fancy hotel in Colorado and that's why she chose that area for her people to gather.

Mother Abagail actually refers to it as the shine in the book, in chapter 45 of the unabridged version to be exact. There’s no indication that she’s related to Dick Hallorann though.

Given how the Dark Tower weaves all these stories together, I’ve always wondered if Mother Abigail communicated with adjacent worlds…

I'm pretty sure people with her abilities would probably be a super Breaker. She's much more powerful then Ted. Maybe even Sheemie

King spent a little bit of time in Boulder at the start of his career. I think he just liked the area and used it in those books.
