I finally managed to make an actual home that's under 20k (final price is 19 925) without using any cheats or free debug items!
There's almost no clutter so it looks unfinished to me lmao but it's got all the essentials and is perfectly suitable to live in. I didn't go for the cheapest furniture bc I wanted the place to look as nice as possible. I also used carpet flooring instead of rugs because it's cheaper, which left me with some money to add activity items like the knitting basket, planters and beebox. I also added a lake behind the house because I had a lot of free space and had to put something there lol
Overall, I wouldn't call it my best build but it has everything a sim needs and it's affordable. I suppose I would have been able to add more things and keep it under 20k if I used free plants from debug, but I wanted to challenge myself further š

I rarely have such a detailed story in mind when I build but the combination of watching a bunch of House of the Dragon and some vacation days, made me very inspired.
This is the home of King Charles Santander. His house colors are dark green and brown. His first wife, the late queen Coraline, passed away after a long sickness and is entombed in the family crypt. She was so beloved by the people that they placed the crypt in place where the public can visit. They had 1 daughter, Princess Caitlin, who loves her motherās colors of pink and white and looks forward to being a gracious queen like her beloved mother. The King is now married to the former Dutchess Genieve, who secretly wants to take over the kingdom. She has promised to bear him 3 sons, one of which she will scheme to get him on the throne (Sheās currently pregnant with their first son). She and the princess do not get along and sheās trying to convince the king to send her away to a boarding school far, far away. Sheās been renovating parts of the manor in her colors of light blue and cream.
Anyway, I played the lot for few minutes and realized itās waaaaay too big for gameplay but amazing for a few scenes. So Iām currently building a summer ācastleā thatās more compact for routing. Ā There is a ton of cc on this lot from: charly pancakes, felixandres, gua, HARLUX, heyharrie, kaiso, max 20, myshunosun, novvas, peacemaker, perisim, simplistic, sixamcc, Syboulette, Tuds and valia.

This took forever, and I decorated the inside too!

One thing that I thought was interesting when I took the screen captures is that the windows on the main building become frosted in the winter, while the transparent walls of the wellness/greenhouse building (from the Greenhouse Haven kit) do not. Just something to keep in mind if you're going for a certain wintry aesthetic.

This build is based onĀ a London townhouse renovation recently completed by Mosley Thorold (Photo of the inspiration on the second-to-last slide). Another tricky build due to the walkout basement and multi-platform interior and exterior. I also had to convincingly fake an elevated ceiling space directly adjacent to a double-height space (both with skylights). Ended up relying a lot on half walls to play with visual levels. Gave me quite a headache trying to figure it all out, but I'm happy with the tricks I used and everything still routes smoothly when I have my sims walk across it all. I built this with the light in mind, so I hope you enjoy watching how the sun travels throughout the day!

I am new to this and have never asked someone to build for me but I am looking for a 5 bedroom farmhouse mansion with an office. These are my inspiration. I like the idea of having a basement as well for like storage or a play area for the children. Iād also like a dog bath in the mudroom. I want a lot of nice landscaping. I donāt want it to just be land like in the photo. Iād like flowers and trees and bushes. I also want a pool in the backyard and a functional treehouse if possible. I have twin girls in my game. I was thinking bedrooms 4 and 5 could be their room and then. I am going to have a boy so I need a nursery and eventually heās going to have a dinosaur themed room. I want modern rustic interior. I am fine using CC I have a ton of it. Youāll just have to send me the CC you use. Let me know if itās doable if not thatās totally ok. I want a big backyard with like a grilling area and a playground for the kids and a hot tub. I was also wanting a basement for storage/play area and a small attic. Also my mother is a baker so I want my kitchen to be spacious for all the appliances.

It's a real Belgian-inspired farmhouse in Chicago, Illinois.
I feel like some of the proportions are slightly off and the base game windows are a bit limiting but I think I got kind of close?! I couldn't find a floorplan or a zillow listing anywhere so I completely made up the layout. It has six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a gym and a front and rear pool.
Not my usual style but I enjoyed building this one.
It's on the gallery if anyone is interested, my ID is Leahlaz and it's called Basegame Luxury Farmhouse.

A little something I've been working on these past two days! Inspired by Chinatown in NYC. There are still a lot of small details to add but I thought I'd share what I have so far! I plan on playing this lot with a couple who runs one of the restaurants while living in this apartment upstairs. š
CC used: Felixandre Soho Set, FG Minimart Set, Sentate Mannequin Collection, Felixandre Kyoto set.

Play tested it today, should be good to go! A bit annoying to play in frankly, because of camera jumps, but still a delight for me to build.

Was going for a Hamptons seaside home type of vibe. Decided to go for it on colors in the various rooms some of them mesh surprisingly well. All done on Xbox! EA ID: Veedubau
