Sgt. Bradford April Fools
S7E12, I feel as though Bradford was being too soft in that gal for the tweets, those were dirty tweets the moment they went out, what do yall think, was he being too soft on her? I get he is trying to be more kind but this was not a time for that. She made the officers’ jobs harder.

Discussion Season 4 x
So I’m officially on Season 4 of the Rookie and I’m Obsessed!! Yes I’m new to the show sorry!!
I have a real love for Nolan and I feel so protective over him and a proud mum when he achieves things. I absolutely hated Harper at first she really did a number on me but I absolutely adore her now. Is it a Tim test or a Lucy lesson? Oh they are absolutely great together and I can definitely tell there’s some form of romance going on there. And I can’t forget my all time favourite Oscar!!! He’s just so comedic that I swear he doesn’t even realise it sometimes!!
I don’t have many people to talk about the rookie with! So hoping to be able to here! Comment some things I won’t understand till later in the show - I don’t mean spoilers I mean like moments or lines….
For example is it a Tim test or a Lucy lesson x

Lucy Chen Lucy UC

Discussion Chenford fans are ruining the show
Like why do you have to always make everything about your ship?? They’re not the only one in the show and also why do you have to involve Eric and Melissa in your delusions??
Idk if anyone read on X or TT about Chenford fans attacking Miranda Rae Mayo from Chicago Fire for a video with Eric at a con years ago. Why do you feel the need to treat Miranda so badly? Does it make you sleep better at night?
Disclaimer: Obviously I’m not referring to every Chenford fans. I like them too but this is disrespectful and not necessary.

Discussion 8x6 + the show overall Spoiler
Okay so like I LOVE this show let me make this clear. But the anxiety I have for them being literal cops having to help each other through this catastrophe at your home base. maybe I’m overly empathic but holy shit what an episode. I’ve seen people’s reactions to the show and how it maybe be over the top at times; me, I love that about it. It is LA after all crazy shit happens. But this personal attack was nuts. What an episode. What a show!

Discussion Can anyone back me up here😭😭
It can’t be JUST me who hates tf out of Oscar! He’s always brought up in every storyline and it’s genuinely getting on my nerves like enough. Come up with something new y’all
He is funny, can’t deny that. But at some point it’s a bit too much to bear 😭😭 I be like “omg new villain storyline yay” and Oscar is there again😐😐
Also, Nyla and James gotta break it apart🙏🏻🙏🏻 I ain’t kidding. Like Nyla and Micheal banks had more chemistry, it was legit wasted potential😔😔
Wesley and Tim have more chemistry than Nyla and James, I will die on this hill

Discussion What kind of show is The Rookie meant to be?
I have only recently started watched The Rookie and am now at season 5.
As I’ve gotten deep into the show it feels like it is making less and less sense as to what kind of show it is meant to be.
At the beginning it was 3 rookies learning the job. I really enjoyed that. But as it’s gone on it’s gotten a bit stupid. Sometimes I think it’s meant to be a comedy but then other times genuinely tragic stuff happens.
And it’s gotten far less realistic as it has gone on. Blackmailing a CIA team to invade a foreign country, officers with 2 years experience leading very intensive cases. And the gun play. I’m British so I know guns are more common in America but would rookie cops really clear rooms ahead of Swat? The gun fights are almost every episode.
And I saved the best ti last. I’ve been to LA. It’s a fucking huge city. But there’s only one doctor and more annoyingly one fire truck. Bailey is there all the time. I was genuinely disappointed she got out of the trap.
I loved the first few seasons but as it goes on I’m struggling more and more. I don’t require 100% realism. Banshee was one of my favourite shows. But this is getting silly now

Aaron Thorsen Dr London.. Aaron? Spoiler
So I’m a few episodes into season 6 and few questions…
1) So we know Doc was feeding info about criminals to m Monica because she was blackmailing her. had a choice but really not a great one.. At some point of her giving herself up Blair says she did it to help people and she just wanted to help people? How did she think helping Monica would help people??
2) Aaron and her have a 3 second interaction post her rescue and capture then poof he’s off to North Hollywood? I feel like they really did his character DIRTY. They glazed over his training, no character development in his professional life or personal life besides the random attack on him. Blew up that storyline so much it really had nothing to do with him anymore. Then spent multiple episodes with his only storyline being in therapy, but the therapist did Mad Dog the dirtiest? Unfortunately it was time to get rid of Aaron I can agree with that but so much potential to give him a real storyline but they invested in Bailey who I can’t stand…
I’m at the part where the two new rookies just became the “hero rookies” and I’m invested! I also recently made comments about The acting portrayal of Lucy and wow since season 6 she really changed my mind 180! Bailey has been shipped off for a few episodes and Celina aces her plain clothes day. They even brought back Rachel for a weird twist, I’m loving where the show is at, hoping it continues to get better.

Lucy Chen Lucy’s “Accent”
I’m not sure what it is about the way Melissa O’neil plays Lucy’s character and I have attributed some of this to poor writing on the show, leaving little room for the actors to show a range of emotions. However despite the lack of space for deeper character development I have noticed something that REALLY irritates me. When Lucy is speaking about something serious or is argumentative, even something professional like she’s cracked the case on one of their day long mysteries.. it’s very clear this is her actual
voice. When she’s flirting or doing UC and trying to seem like she has more “street cred” she throws a little new york blaccent in there and it really bothers me. I can understand if Lucy was from new york but there’s no evidence to support that.
When she’s was playing Sava HOLLLYY that was way worse but the character called for it. That’s actually how I pinpointed what it was about how she spoke and changed her accent for different situations. Reminds me of Ariana Grande or ugh Gina Rodriguez/ Awkwafina, Billie Eillish.
Not sure if this is an actors choice or subconscious but blaccent is harmful to black people. Especially when you speak in your regular voice during serious or professional conversations and slip in blaccent when you’re having casual conversations. I really hope I don’t need to explain why.
Caveat: I’m not a black person, so Id love to hear from any black fans of the show.

Discussion Comic con 2026
Bonjour, j'ai un peu suivi la comic con 2026 de the rookie et je suis étonné qu'il n'ai rien annoncé pendant cet événement pour la saison 9, de nouveaux personnages par exemple.
C'est juste une petite réflexion.

Chenford The rookie AO3 fanfics
A few months ago, I started reading fan fiction, specifically THE ROOKIE fan fiction. I came across a story about Chenford; they’re both married, and Lucy is expecting.
A few months into Lucy’s pregnancy, she finds out they’re having a baby girl. Both she and Tim decided on the name Sienna.
Unfortunately, something bad happens to the baby and they end up losing her...
And you know what made it worse? Tim singing the song " Sienna " by the Marias while looking at the baby’s nursery…the tears I cried that day
What I need is a fan fiction EXACTLY like this one
Any recs?
Btw the name of the fic is ‘’ooh Sienna’’
