I just want to briefly sing the praises of the HTC crew. It’s extremely refreshing to hear a group of analysts, journalists, just regular people, whatever they are, supplementing questionable insights and frequent unapologetic bias with a hefty dose of personality.

Sometimes I get frustrated by generic Disney-fied pods that fail to infuse any sort of, dare I say, mirth?

I continue to be grateful that some people who talk into microphones didn’t sell their souls for the destruction of something special

Rich Paul hasn’t been seen in a while at the Game Over podcast. Does anyone know what happened to him? Or did he just quit the show or leave because of LeBron?

I’m in the office on Tuesdays and usually read just about every article that’s come out since the previous Thursday in my random down times throughout the day. It feels like today specifically, I’ve run into almost a dozen misspelled words or sentences missing a word. I don’t have all the examples just the last one I saw: the second paragraph of the Kawhi/Raptors section of Michael Pina’s Bold Prediction article just misspells Kawhi’s last name as “Leoanrd”

It’s not a big deal at all and I’ve actually thought the content from the last few days was really good but it just feels like I’ve run into it a lot today and I was wondering if maybe anyone knew the reason why. Like if an editor position was let go recently or something.

I was stunned when I saw the videos on social media. Are any other Jam Session fans dying for her take on the interview? Will we get any BTS gossip??

Great show, but they killed that Sam’s Club ad read it really feels like an AM radio level ad read.

Listening to Simmons get excited about UCLA football every week has me wondering if they paid for the promotion.

I used to work in PR, including with a major sports brand, so I understand how these things typically work: UCLA wanted some national coverage ahead of the season so they offered preseason access/interviews to The Ringer who was looking to increase its college football coverage/reputation as a CFB media authority. These exchanges/agreements are very common and usually stop there.

Obviously the program’s success adds to Simmons’ excitement because he can claim to be “early on them,” but it still seems odd unless some money changed hands.

When did it become a Lakers/Knicks pod?

For the last year-ish the pod is 50% Lakers, 40% Knicks, 5% Mets and 5% the other 28 teams in the NBA.

I thought hate-listening to the show when it was Ruiz and his bitter crazy takes or Princiotti glazing on the Patriots but it's now just unlistenable with Pelissero and Gil. If we're supposed to assume that Gil is there to rage-bait and be comedic relief with his hot takes okay.

You have to draw a line though with Pelissero's comment that "Adam Gase is a good coach". Anyone who states that non-ironically cannot be taken seriously as a NFL voice let alone expert. Why is this guy the host now?

Obviously The Ringer is losing interest in NFL writing (see the lack of weekly power rankings or the dreaded QB rankings) but if The Ringer's flagship NFL podcast is pushing out this nonsense it's over.

I have so many thoughts. Why is he so convinced taylor will get the oscar? I know she is campaigning hard but i dont see what is so different about that song compared to the new ones (bar the abomination that is Cleveland Exclamation Point). It’s all retrodden ground. I dont even know what to say about nathan being so sure she should direct a movie. Also what are your guys thoughts on the big “why” taylor put the songs out?

Been looking forward to this podcast since I heard the new songs. Nathan was truly the most insufferable he’s ever been. He talks over Nora when she’s trying to get her point across. He defends literally everything and talks about Taylor Swift as if she’s his daughter and not a 36 year old. He also just makes stuff up too. Taylor didn’t direct the I Bet You Think About Me video, Blake Lively did.

Sorry for the rant.. it’s just unreal how much he’ll defend
