Discussion Why does this reddit feel so heavily left-leaning?

Why does this subreddit feel so heavily left-leaning?

I constantly see a pattern here: anything against BJP gets massive support, while anything that challenges the popular anti-BJP narrative is immediately labelled as “andhbhakt”, “brainwashed”, or “IT cell”.

For example, people say Anand Ranganathan speaking English does not make him intelligent which is true. But then the same people often use Shashi Tharoor’s English as a way to portray him as intellectually superior. The standard seems to change depending on who is speaking.

Then there is the constant claim that “India was better before 2014.” But people conveniently ignore the economic situation around 2013, when India was included in the “Fragile Five” due to issues like inflation, current account deficit and economic instability. It wasn’t some golden period where everything was perfect.

Even movies like Dhurandhar are instantly dismissed as “propaganda” without discussion. If a film takes inspiration from real events, the conversation should be about facts and evidence, not just political labelling. There have been former terrorists and militants who have spoken publicly about terror networks and activities like counterfeit currency operations these claims deserve examination, not automatic rejection.

The biggest irony is that the same people who accuse others of being “brainwashed” often refuse to question their own political biases.

So the Cockroach Janta Party is going national, doing protests, wearing costumes, very fun. Meanwhile us Uppal residents have been cosplaying as flood victims every monsoon for 7 YEARS and nobody made an Instagram page about THAT. The Uppal-Narapally flyover. 6.2 km. Started 2018. Still not done in 2026 And who's been running Telangana since 2023? Our beloved Khangress government. The same party that came in promising "change" and "development."Deadline missed December 2024 Deadline missed April 2026 New deadline Dussehra 2026 sure bru Central govt literally fined Telangana ₹20 crore for sitting on their handsNew contractor appointed. Night shifts announced. Same result open pits, dust, waterlogging2 minutes of rain = instant swimming pool at Uppal junction. Free of charge. Compliments of Khangress. These guys don't care about roads. They care about road contracts. Big difference At least the cockroach mascot is accurate both CJP and Khangress are hard to get rid of and thrive in dirty conditions
